weed or no weed.

Personally I think this Weed or No Weed thing is bad. I mean at the link you posted they show some remote no descript buildings and say that they contain 3,500 marijuana plants. Now clearly the grower has gone to considerable expense to strengthen his security. The area appears to be fairly secluded from the ground and most likely isn't visible from any nearby public roads. From the air those buildings look a lot like the chicken farms in my area.

In the story about this 61 year old grower getting busted the bulk of the info is about how the LEO raided the place and "found" 3,500 marijuana plants. This suggests they didn't really know what they would find. There is no information about how any investigation led to the arrest and at the end they put out a call for anyone with any information to come forward. To me it sounds almost as if the author of this "Weed or No Weed" game was researching his idea found the buildings and forwarded the tip to the sheriffs office. Even if the story is unrelated to the bust they're offering opportunities to virtually anyone on the internet to use Google Earth or other things like it, to scrutinize they Humboldt County area and encouraging them to report anything that looks suspicious. They're essentially recruiting people to act as spies on people's right to privacy. Then if that's not bad enough they're posting these places on the internet in their stories thereby making it available to everyone, including thieves and/or cartel groups that might seize the opportunity to cut back competition and profit themselves by taking whatever premium bud they find in the process.

Additionally they also seem to have an agenda to look for any negative aspects of the growers and to eventually place them under control and tax them (you know, kind of like how the Mafia extorts protection money).
