I've found all the ones I went to in the late 80's early 90's and just hit the goldmine when I found all the winterland shows

its full of goodies
just type in grateful dead in the search bar and begin the search for the best concert sugaree, candyman, or peggy-oooo!

Can you download the shows? I got a couple but then things changed and I haven't been able to burn them anymore. Of course I'm an old, computer illiterate stoner, living in the backwoods and on dial-up.
There was NOTHING like a Grateful Dead show. I was never one to follow the tour but I never missed the bus when it stopped anywhere near me.

not only grateful dead music but literaly TONS of music, all of which was either recorded by a dedicated taper or released as a soundboard from the band....Some cool "newer" bands that are on archive:

Steve Kimock Band
Zero
Railroad Earth
New Monsoon
Little Feat
Robert Randolph
Derek Trucks
Yonder Mountain String Band

plus countless others....good hunting....

Oh also they have Audience recordings of GD avail for Download, all Soundboards though are stream only

holy hell
it seems like sometimes the best dead shows are only available with audience recordings... I have a love/ hate relationship with audience recordings.. I mean I love a strong audience presence in the recording, but not so much where I can barely hear the music

I have heard that there still is a way to download sb's.I'll have to poke around a little to find it but with the vbr mp3 files you can change something when you stream so you can download.

I'll find it and post back...

There are also lots of sb's for download at gdlive.com :)

hey now! ... guess what?

LOT of those shows from the late '70's and early 80's that ended up on the net were recorded by "our" crew ... that is what we did ... tour with the GD and taped shows ...

it was "one long party from start to end, and i just might take that ride again" ... might as well, eh?

if you want to talk about the grateful dead ... i'm game because i've listened to them since 1973 & been to hundreds of shows ... it was a very sad ending to see jerry decline in the manner that he did

Did you know that if you goto archive.org and find a streaming gd sbd, then replace the "details" in the address bar with "download", you can get any sbd that was on the archive...the only files that work are the vbr though.

All right,I'd like to hear everybodys story about the first time you went to a Dead show,or at least as much as you can remember.........
