He's not the first to try such a thing, but unfortuantely he'll probably get squeezed by the Gubbermint, or have his license revoked by the medical cabal for not playing by the rules.

The medical association does not like when doctors operate outside of the box, if you don't adhere to their protocol they will ruin you and make it impossible to operate a medical practice.

Seems like a straight up guy but I question his plan. Seems to me he is only going to be able to cater to people with lots of money, how many poor people can afford to pay a doctor for medical treatment out of pocket? Maybe he never had any poor patients to begin with but this will certainly get rid of them if he had any before

Doctors would cost less with out insurance companies.

Some how we managed for several thousand years without insurance.

interesting idea the hour exchange

reminds me of the BarterNet.com thingy in our state. You can sign up and trade goods or services instead of cash. Heres the problem: People who do dog grooming out of their house buying $600 dollars worth of your stuff, in exchange for barter network credit. It works great if everybody has the same demand for services. INstead good companies stop taking the barter, because there is nothing for them to trade in the barter credit. In other words, companies with hard goods, food or desirable services are in demand by those with much less desirable services... homemade jewelry, smelly perfume candles, other strange cat lady businesses. IN essence those with less desirable services use it much more then those that already have a steady flow of business, until they have way too much barter credit and back out.

Its like getting paid in bitcoins kinda

right, so hour exchange, very radical no doubt
"everybody's time is equal"
thats nice if you have 4 years experience trading for 25 years experience
basically the person at the top of the pyramid in terms of experience and demand must be willing to accept the inequality. I guess its a nice idea, a very nice idea, since everybody agrees...

but theres a reason most of the communes in the 60, 70s didn't last. Hopefully this sort of independent system works better.
