I always like to give my girls their feedings before the lights come on. I dont know that it matters much but I like to give them a boost in the "morning". Seems appropriate.
I use bloom nutes the day I go 12/12 and take cuttings, then its mainly grow big again for the first 2-3 weeks of 12/12 because thats when most veg growth occurs, during the stretch.I may hit them with a bloom fert once in that 2-3 week period. After that I use bloom fert
Call me frugal but I think it's best to water just before lights out because you lose less water due to evaporation (less heat when lights are out).
I have to lug these damn 50 pound jugs of RO water for a few miles so I try to make them last as long as possible.
Like Ballast man, I too use bloom ferts one day before taking my cuttings. This was suggested to me a few months ago and since then I've had better success with cuttings rooting (100% last time!).
mysta177 wouldn't feeding...especially foliar feeding right before lights out invite mold?
I understand yo say it works for you, and if so. I would not change it. Let me explain a lil why I say what I did. In strains especially like the Critical Mass, Big Bud's. Or really anything with heavy/dense bud formation. Leaving any type of water/mist on them overnight when dark approcahes seems to be inviting of the mole/etc. Foliar feeding, or watering earlier if possible would allow daytime cycle to dry out medium. Or to dry off leaves from foliar feeding. I hope this makes sense to you. Peace, and good luck....
