Watering schedule for hot weather

I'm in tropical Asia, the rains have just ended, there's a lot of moisture in the soil, but the surface is drying quickly. It's hot, 30 to 35 daily.

What do ppl recommend for watering frequency? The plants have mulch. Should I wait until it's dry beneath the mulch? That would be at least a week I think.

The soil has a rice husks and Coco coir to help it drain. I am watering with aquaponic water, which has lot of good stuff, so I'd like to water ad often as possible. Thanks.

I am right on the Equator with identical rainy seasons to yours, and in the past when the rains stopped, I'd water one day, skip two days, then water on the third day in a repeating cycle. Of course, if you are growing beside a water source, and maybe plan to grow there for the next few years, you could go the whole hog and install a hidden irrigation system with a 12-volt car-battery-powered submersible water pump hidden in the river, and connected via buried PVC pipe to the crop area.

Timers could regulate the pump activity so it doesn't run for too long at a stretch at once. Also, the car battery could be recharged with small solar panels hidden up in the trees. I actually bought all the components of this exact stealth irrigation setup, but haven't gone to install them yet due to security concerns.
