Hey just started my first grow and wanted to know
How long can I keep water after I adjust the ph.

I have a few rockwool cubes in a humidity dome with seedlings in em.

Also wanted to know if waterin them every day or two.
I can usually start to see parts of the cube dryin out.

I just Pour water over the top of the cube

I like to use a scale to weigh the cubes to see which ones need solution. Just keep your solution in a dark area with a cap on it and your all set. Also I dont like to water cubes from the top. Instead I put them in a bowl with about a half inch of solution for a couple minutes. If the top of your cubes get too wet, it could grow algae.

That makes sense ill pour it in a bowl and set em in there thanks.

So I have some water I adjusted to 5.5 at the beginning of the week that's ok to use??

Check out my grow journal!

It really depends how big your cubes are and if you treated them before you used them. The inside of rockwool medium can be high. If your cubes dont dry every day they can start to take up a higher pH so your question is difficult to answer. I like to stay in a range of 5.8-6.2 in hydro. That is regarding the inside of the medium. So if your cubes were treated with a 5.5 for a while in enough solution, then i would stay in my range above. I would do a little test and take a cube with no seedling and put in 5.8 water and let it sit after you take it out of the solution. Let it sit after it was soaked bit dont let it sit in water after you let place it to the side. Wait a couple hours and squeeze the 5.8 water out of the cube and see what your pH is. That will give you a better idea of what to set your levels too. Idealy you want to be in my range stated above.

Thanks for the advice!
Another freebie seed was ready so I mixed up a new batch of 5.5 water and soaked a cube do the new seedling and one to test like you suggested.
The new seedling is a Kanabia or something, think its an auto flower.

I haven't been using any nutes. And I only soak the cubes for a couple minutes. The directions only say to soak for 10 seconds.

Ill post more pics soon, the og kush and fruity chronic juice look like they're poking through the rockwool.

I re soaked the two cubes with seeds that are still kind of germinating but left the two healthier ones alone to dry out a lil more. Ill re soak them in the mornin I'm sure the enter is still wet

I wouldnt trust directions from companies that sell grow products. Lets hope you dont have to find out the hard way.

Il l keep that in mind, guess I did t know lol. Following directions is usually the safe thing! My grow log will be the test to see if soaking briefly is as effective. I'm about to post new pics on my log

LISTEN TO HIM!!!!! I have algae... its gross and i will never top water feed again... that was dumb!!!

Rockwool cubes are great.. but you have to water from the bottom.. or set them in a dish or something.
