Water that’s been sitting all winter?

Would water that’s been in a 2500 gallon plastic container all winter be bad to use on plants? It probably has algae etc from just sitting all winter. What do y’all think?

Test it, microscope, pH, etc.

Or

Pump it through a whole house filter system, should clean it up.

Gotcha i think I’ll just drain it just in case it’s prob 1000 gallons. Don’t wanna risk using it on my clines when they go in their final pot.

Drink a little bit, taste it, spit it out.

I have dozens of buckets full of rainwater that I'm slowly using up to water recently potted plants.

The only one I'm not using is a blue bucket that had oil in it, so now it has oily water in it.

Will have to let that sit in the sun until the water evaporates & then deal with the oil.
