Water pump recommendation ?

Setting up a easy watering system need help picking pump.

55 gal rain barrel in basment with hose running 25ft up to first floor.

Wanna control the pump from the first floor so I don't need to run up and down the stairs turning it on then off.

Would like about 4-5 gal per min.

Hate when pumps ars a bitch to get primed.

Whats my options ?

Thanks

Fully submerged pumps will eventually leave a sheen of oil on the water.
I use a flexible impeller pump mounted outside the reservoir beneath the water level, this keeps it primed between uses.
The pump is 5 gallons per minute and is United Technologies brand purchased at Lowes for less than $100. I am on my second pump, the first one gave out after three years and the redesigned impeller did not fit. The new pump has a spare impeller so I expect six or more years from this one.

Of the three submersibles, Little Giant leaks less and pumps down to 1/8 inch deep. Self priming, its rotary impeller does not contact the pump chamber and can be run dry for quite a few minutes without damage. Over $100.

1/2 horse oughta do it yeah!

I sure screwed up, it was Utilitech and the pump I used was next to them.
1/10 hp, 5.5 gpm, garden hose fittings, made by Pump Pro, sold at Lowes. $88 in Alaska.

Getting old and I remember too many things incorrectly, I now need to fact check my own posts.

I have a plant in a large tub sitting on the floor. It grew to almost six feet and cannot fit on a stand. The pump pictured has a short hose I poke into the tub to pull out the runoff, keeping the ends of the hoses up on the edge of the tub I do not have to reprime each use and the flexible impeller handles the occasional Perlite and leaf parts that inevitably end up in the tub.
EDIT:
1/2 hp is like a firehose and will empty swimming pools. In retrospect, this should have been directed to Tactical Farmer.

1/2 hp is a lot, we use that on our out door aquaponics garden, way overkill.
