Water crystals/polymers - safe for cannabis growing?

Some say yes, some say no because there's said to be residuals left over....


what do you guys think?

I personally wouldn't use them but to each their own. Make sure their food safe. I don't think the ones in the pic are. They can ruin your weed.

I used Water polymers when I lived in Georgia, they do cut down on the watering frequency during those hot southern summers. If I didnt use water crystals my plants wouldve suffered greatly and I didnt taste anything odd in the buds grown using water polymers.

Don't have any experience but really thinking of picking some up........where do ya get them? Checked at Wally fart and they didn't have any. Does it have to be a specialty garden store (hydro store)?

I put some into about fifteen clones I stuck outdoors and they did indeed keep the plants going longer. In the end my clones were whacked by critters so no taste report.

You can find em on Amazon.com, but again - I was told that polymers give off residuals so use at your own risk.

I made this thread after I found this out to basically see what others thought and how right my source is :tiphat:
