People actually get paid to study and write about this stuff? Skunk has been around for a long time and the world hasn't ended. Wait maybe the world is flat after all. LOL

I saw one of these skunk / psychosis scare stories 10 years ago on some UK news site. I thought they were talking about skunk #1. I had grown way stronger strains than skunk #1. I didn't realize that "skunk" meant high quality bud in the UK, not a particular strain.

It's still bullshit. Cannabis use has gone up in down in different countries all over the world in the last few decades. The rates of schizophrenia and other mental illnesses hasn't gone up and down the way cannabis use has.

They are clutching at straws. They are desperate to find just one thing wrong with weed, and they just can't.
If they were really worried about what's good or bad for you, they would have banned drink outright by now

well, they did that over here once. it made the depression worse, and gave organized crime a running head start that they will never give up. it also gave us the Kennedy clan, as the patriarch of the family, Joe, made most of his money running scotch from Canada to the states... I'm still not sure which of those was the greater evil... the pot prohibition has ruined far more lives, and cost us multiple billions of taxpayer dollars, destroyed more than one central & south American nation, and resulted in a militarized LEO presence here that may require an armed uprising by the citizenry to uproot...

Did anyone see this bit ? Particularly what the Mexican rep had to say...

And Labour will be no better. They too are servants of the City of London, since Blair, as the Tories always have been.

There is a deeper problem in Britain than the right wing press.

The political process in the UK has in large part been captured by the City of London (the financial centre, as distinct from the capital). And the City of London, as well as fencing the world's stolen goods, is hooked on drug money.

This is why the UK is likely to be one of the last in line to throw off prohibition and enact the kind of common sense legislation coming about in the Americas.

Here is Rowan Bosworth-Davies, a former Met detective and specialist in financial crime, writing about a trip he made to the UN representing LEAP UK, (Law Enforcement Against Prohibition):

"Perhaps unsurprisingly, I could not discover any willingness to discuss the issue of the criminal laundering of the enormous proceeds of criminal drug trafficking, and as far as I could ascertain, there were no banks or financial institutions present, and willing, to discuss their attempts and methods to limit the amount of drug money entering their systems.

"It is the major issue of the criminal money which is generated by the international drug trade which is the real elephant in the room at conferences such as these, but no-one it seems wants to discuss it. I tried to engineer a discussion with a delegate from Mexico, a representative of the Mexican drug control agency, but he just laughed in my face.

""...My deluded friend" he said, "...Everybody in this business knows that all the drug money from the narco- trafficantes finds its way to the City of London. Look at the HSBC bank, how they moved all those millions of dollars for the cartels in my country. Why your country did not prosecute them is clear to us, Great Britain does not care where the money comes from, as long as it comes to Great Britain, and no British Bank will be punished for bringing in the drug money. You people did it to China in the 19th century, and now you do it with the rest of the world. .."

"What is clear to this overworked law enforcement agent from a country which is truly suffering from the corrupting effects of Cartel Heroin is that the UK has absolutely no agenda to promote or support any agenda for legalisation, because it would mean a strangling of the supply of illegally-generated drug profits, but then, the UK is not alone in having no intention of lifting the yoke of prohibition!"

P

Pinnate

Yeah, why should Cameron change anything when no one of his privileged 'circle' will ever in any position to be harmed by drug laws?

Drug laws only impact people Cameron knows nothing about, and about whom he cares less!

I know a couple of guys that ended up volunteering where I work that had just quit their very good paying jobs at HSBC, they said they left fearing that the people on top will throw all the blame down the pyramid when reckoning day comes for HSBC...

Edit: and btw, the U.N is a joke...run by crypto-nazis, just look at which countries conform their so-called "security council", laughable at best.

Most of the countries only sign the un charters because they will be sanctioned or denied aid if they don't.
Bullies.

mr. nice's ex wife

'I find it alarming that people now refer to skunk as dope. People of my generation perhaps think that hash and skunk are the same thing and they’re just not. Skunk is a very different drug. It’s dangerous. It’s a worry.’

truth and the public interest (let alone trust) obviously don't matter. and obviously the ex-mrs. nice must have had some incentive to say what she did there........

the reality is *hysteria* - getting *enough* of the population to side with your desired outcome

the reality is tavistock

the reality is social engineering, perception management, false advocacy, controlling all sides of the discussion

wake up and smell the masons. especially in britain.

of course, it would be hard to notice it's there, because you've been smelling it your whole life.

All about the money all over the world. The slugs that are paid to harass pot smokers and growers do not want to get retrained and go elsewhere, too hard.

The banking angle is another part of the scam. Do not think about that one too much, above my pay grade so to speak.

Pot prohibition is finally falling here in the states and that means the UK will follow shortly as well as the rest of the semi free world.
