yeah.. i was thinking to clean this clogged filter with water, becos some people are cleaning their drinking water with charcoal, if i'm sure.. but if it will ruin the filter.. hmm..

You guys should read up on how activated carbon works molecularly, a good point is made above about water filtration with activated carbon

did you have a pre-filter on
yes, but the shit still goes through it.

i fixed the filter now ( i think so ). but i need something new to add more moisture in tent. no more ultrasonic humidifiers!!

so if you have clogged filter by lime, here is solution to open it:

hoover inside part of filter and after that hoover outside part
add powerful ducting fan to PUSH air inside of the filter
now white dust appear from inside of filter
start to smash this filter with something durable. do it gently but still hard enough to see more of this dried lime dust.
continue doing this for 15 minutes to half an hour.
hoover again.
now it's cleaned. be careful with ultrasonic humidifiers with hard water...

You could pour all the charcoal in a very thin layer on tray until it dries.
A fan will rush the drying process.

Danger: Don't put it in a stove to dry it cause heating charcoal
indoors is dangerous due to carbon monoxide forming. People
have died from using their BBQ indoors.

Don't increase humidity too high as carbon filtration ceases to happen at some point. ;)

Good Luck

The prefilter can be washed/replaced.. The scrubber can be cleaned off but those holes should not be clogged?. ..

Many years ago we use to drill out the rivets on our scrubbers and remove RO wash/dry our carbon all the time. Doing this def prolonged the scrubbers use by 2x. If you do wash the carbon make sure you dry it 100%. before you repack. Do not use heat. Air dry works fine. .You must agitate the scrubber while filling. It was PITA to do but worth the effort when cash is at a min.

There is no way that heating charcoal reasonably in the oven will form CO - what it will release is the molecules absorbed by it.
