Warrants for homes?

It has been more than a decade since I left my old folks place, however, everytime the DMV sends me a renewed driver's license, it still has their address. I never thought too much about it since I'm in compliance with MMJ state laws and it shouldn't be a big deal. However, I'm always concerned about my safety as well as everyone else.

My question is, if there were any evidence indicating that I'm a illegitimate grower, is it possible to still obtain a warrant of my folks home even though I no longer occupy or live on their property? It would be extremely frustrating if LEO broke in on innocent senior citizens. I would deeply live with the regret for the rest of my life if that ever happened. I'm in the process in changing it to my actual address, but it sure takes some time.

All depends on the laws. You would hope that leo will do some investigation before just getting a warrent and would be able to put 1 and 1 together. would your parents know it might be coming? if so could probably give them a bill in your name at another address.

Get your ass down to the DMV and get an address of your own...NOW!! Most cops do not try and figure out if someone is innocent, and they will use an address from the DMV for warrants if they have no independent source of determining who the owner of the grow is. Now, unless the grow was at the address of your folks and is still there, no issue. But if you have an active grow going at your parents address then shame on you!! and man up now and get rid of the grow NOW!!

Do not risk another minute the chance, no matter HOW freakin remote, that your parents might face armed men breaking in ...what if Dad grabbed his shotgun before he gets his hearing aid in and gets plugged by some filthy narc...I know you would feel like human slime for exposing them to that possibility,so for Gods sake man get the grow gone and get yourself independent from mom and dad in every way except as a loyal and loving son that visits often and causes them no concern. That what they want, and deserve from you.

the dude didnt say a thing about living with the rents - actually states he's been out on his own for a decade. The DMV just has the old address still.

Twin, does the address keep reverting to your parents address - or did you simply never change address when you moved out.

I personally have never changed my ID from my parents address. I like it this way because I've rented a lot and constantly changing your address is pointless. I'm always sure that IMPORTANT stuff will be mailed to an address that never changes - my parents.
All bills are online so they only get the occasional piece of mail...plus they dont mind one bit when I visit & get my mail.

The real problem here is that you see times and times again where they just bust into innoncent peoples homes with obvious no investigative work. Its complete bullshit and should be illegal. Dogs get killed, old people get mistaken for bullseyes, ect. I've seen instances where they actually raided the house next door by mistake. Makes me sick.

I moved outta my folks place a long time ago and there is obviously no grow there whatsoever. My parents are very understanding and acceptable with me being a medical patient, but of course they don't know any details about me growing just for my security as well as theirs.

I was just curious on how far LEO would go. As stated before, having my old folks address on my license didn't seem much of a problem at the time. I do visit from time to time to pick up bills/important papers and see my folks. However, I still won't take any risks and make sure every liability is on me instead of being traced back to innocent people.

Just wanted to know if anyone fell on the same boat. Curious to know if LEO warranted different locations despite where the grow is located.

if they are on to you they're not gona brake their door down it will be at the place where they have evidence at unless you give consent to do so.so either way when they on to you they on you,this would mean that someone lips are runing

well put, My address isnt changed either, but NO way would the walk up to my parents house and think somethings a booming.
