Warehouse grow. Help please!

Hey guys. I have not been on here for a long while because I stopped growing for a time. I have started again and now it is in a warehouse. There are several issues that I need help on.

Firstly, let me give a quick summary of my setup.

There are 250 plants under 60x 1k hps lights. The strain is PPP. The lights were flipped on Christmas day. After approximately 2 months of vegetation. They are in 35 liter pots, filled with soil. 3000 sq ft WH. Since it is winter, we do not need much cooling so we only have 2x 8" inline fans pumping air in and 2 more taking air out. (Likely not enough fresh air/ventilation but any more and the room will get too cold. Gets to 10c @ lights off without any fans running.)

We had a mite issue but it has been kept under control by use of lots of fans. Also a powdery mildew issue recently arose. So I will be fighting that by spraying them all down with a baking soda and dish detergent mix.

The things I need help with are the following:

How can I bring my humidity down? It is 80-90%. -I was told not to use carbon filters when humid because they lose efficiency. Which means smell will soon become an issue.

Also, we triggered to flower about 20 days ago now. We have 250 very large plants (about 5 feet high from pot and just as wide) so we had planned to add more lights (plan was to have 2 plants per light for optimal yield for maximum electrical usage). If we add more lights this week would it make a significant increase to our yield? : Is adding another 60x 1k lights to our grow at day 20 of flowering worth it?

Looking forward to your replies!

Thanks,
-J

PS: I might add pictures in a bit.

I'll add pictures later but this is a post requested advice and help :/ Anyone have enough experience with growing to be able to give their 2 cents?

How the hell did someone, or why did someone give you a 60k to run when you cant even control your humidity. Haha you got me, wheres yummybud?

definitely more lights. more lights will will require more outside cold, dry, air dumps, (at least in the winter anyway) which will in turn reduce your RH. win win.

Dehumidify your air. Doubling your lights now will barely affect your yield.

Learning as you go and trial by fire are not the funnest ways to grow warehouses...

Haha! My thoughts exactly. How do you get the humidity down , well you use a dehumidifier of course! Really though, how did you manage to get that gig if you can't even keep the basic environmental controls in check?

I think good air flow is key for mite issues; as long as you are getting in there and handling the problem as well.

I would love to see some photos, i honestly just picked up two 45pint dehumidifiers for 25$ at an ARC they pull lots of water. you will need more to get 3,000sqFT down from 90% but it won't destroy the bank. I feel the ability to provide low humidity is super key for resin production especially when you are flushing a huge crop. There is going to be a lot of water on the ground when flushing 250 35L pots and the lights make it evaporate and transpire over the buds for the last week. This has caused me serious issues. plus when you chop em' its really nice to not feel like bud mold is going to be a problem at all. if you have 250 plants that are even as big as three feet around when you cut them down and hang them up the buds are going to be rubbing on each other hard core so low humidity can be very helpful.

One thing as well. if you are having huge issues with humidity spike when flushing I have found watering in plant groups is nice. For example maybe water five sections of fifty plants a week.
(On amazon) All over the world you can order products that are incredibly good at fighting powdery mildew. when it gets started its super hard to stop, it can even be hard to get out of a building.

I would run those scrubbers no matter what ,something is better than nothing ,I would try not to exhaust out , and see if this helps ,and get a large commercial dehumifyer unit, like carpet and flood restorations co use ,may be able to rent one ,they also put off a good bit of heat ,sulfer burners may also be of help here ,good luck ,

Sounds like you expanded way too fast without getting everything in order. Classic grower mistake. It would have been a better idea to not rush into it and get all the equipment that you needed to be successful.
Sounds pretty expensive. Hope it works out but mites and powdery mildew. Doesn't sound good. No central air? No dehumidifiers? For an operation of that size, it would be a good investment.

I think I would suggest sealing things up and adding co2. Splitting into 2 seperate flower rooms on opposing 12/12 cycles then adding the appropriate mechanical starting with AC and dehumidifiers.

Spending the money to keep 60k lit, you should have 100% control on your environment and not rely on mother nature.

Good luck with that.
