Want to Reuse buds!

made sum bubble hash other day and was wanting to reuse the now soaked buds.

what would be the best way for me to dry the buds? naturally? dehydrator? in front of my furnace vent?

Welcome to IC )) dont really know why you would, I mean you just washed off all the trec's off right ? maybe the fireplace lol...

Maybe a few Trichs left....slow even heat or where it doesn't mold/mildew. I've used my motorized drum rolling contraption for dry sift keif....and used remnants again in liquor for tincture....or oil for cooking. Still has a bit of "oomph" to it!!

i would do my oven but its min heat is like 240f i think might jus put on vent to speed up process, keep letting paper towels soak it up atm

Let them drain overnight and then make iso hash. You will get a nice iso run from it.

Drain it right in the wash bag.

Dry em out and jar them up and save for a rainy day... Something to puff on is better than nothing.

That's what I was going to say. I like to do one run with my bubble bags (or one run with butane), and then do a long second extraction with 99% isopropanol. The oil from the second extraction is perfect for tinctures and capsules.

I always use to make coconut oil or butter. Run twice then straight to freezer or extracting pot. I use probably three times more then if I were using bud but it still seems just as good to me!

butter from it should be real good due to all the water that leached out the nasties when making with the bags...even when I make butter I water cure,leach whatever till the water is clear or a few times ..makes for cleaner tasting product

Like some people said, you could make ISO oil, you needn't even dry it much for that, since you will be evaporating it off. Just enough so that the water doesn't overcome the alcohol.

However, from my experience, you won't get that much ISO oil, just a teeny bit for your efforts. IMHO, your best best is to chuck the wet weed into a pot of water, add about a pound of butter per 2oz (dry of bud), simmer for 8hrs, filter the butter off and you have an excellent edible base. A bit of cinnamon while you're boiling helps.

There are stacks of threads on canna-butter. It is by far the most effective way to utilise bubbled weed.


PS. Hm, I see you already made butter. How did it go?

if your cooking them then this is what I do

I love to take material that I used to make bubble and put it right into water with butter in a pressure cooker and run it at high twos for a bit then lower it and let it run for a few hours (5-6)

prefer butter from this method and dont have to try or fuss with the hashed material just drop it in the pot
