Want to have a seed grow and seedless grow

Ok well I have some female seedlings growing outside in one location and then some more in another location about 600 yards away. Now I want to have seedless bud at the one location and at the other get some seeded buds that I can use the seeds to eventually grow more bud so I plan on bringing a male in to one of these locations to seed it. Would this male pollen though travel all the way to the other location by chance? If so I wont bother creating seeds.

Also just another kind of random question.
The native soil around my area is very tan and dried up cracky soil so black soil really stands out in it. If I were to lightly cover up my black soil with some of the native soil to try and camoflauge it will this affect the plant at all?
Thanks.

Cover away, cant hurt! Who knows about seeds, it may, if the winds are right.

Last year i grew some seed in plots that were a just few hundred feet from this single plant plot i had. To tell you the truth i can't remember if i found a seed or 2 or not in it, but i remember it was about entirely seedless. There was a lot of thick brush and woods in this area so that was a little bit of a barrier to the pollen. If you dont want as many seeds you can just cut the males after they pollinate the young maturing female buds. The later you wait, the more seed you get. I waited until October last year because i was unable to get to the plots due to an injury.

This year planning on growin seed again, but im going to gather, number, and smoke the unopened pollen sacs from each male. Then I'll weed out all but the best 2-3 males from each line. These will be cut when the female flowers get big enough that they have the desired amount of seed per bud. The gift of a delicious bud with a few mature seeds in it will be sure to make your buddies happy.

I would harvest as normal or wait until there are a little higher than normal percentage of amber trichs. You want those seeds to mature as completely as you can. On the other hand, you dont want too many pods drying out and popping out seeds to falling on the ground before you harvest, but it would be a pretty minimal amount if any did this at all. I've read on here that it takes around 4 weeks for a seed to mature from fertilization. Early october when i harvested the North #1's the seed was a mixture of mature and immature. If pollen is around, as the female flowers grow, pollen will continue to pollinate the newly emerging flowers, so the seeds will be in different stages of maturity. So the later you wait, the more mature seeds you should have. Wait too late though, and the smoke from the seeded buds may not have the potency or effect you want.

The seeded buds last year were harvested about a week into Oct. and then at the end of Oct., normal harvesting times. I didn't check the trichs development because access was so tough. With a normal harvest time, i got some great smoke and more than enough seed for me and many of my friends.
