I'm bored, so I went through some pics from last summer. check out these calio99 f2s made by Reddy1. anyone else score a pack of these gems? grow em if ya got em. awesome plants

had 2 phenos of it that a friend was growing inside, decided to try it outdoor here, even though it goes way into October

this one got steamrolled by a bear or something. pretty much snapped the stem, so we just staked it up an again and hoped for the best

no pics of #2 for some reason that time



sorry thats it, I guess I didnt take any more pics, I wish I had a couple more. anyway, I let them go into mid October. tried to be a hero and let them go a week in the rain, surprise surprise mold started in #1, so what was salvagable was made into bho. #2 made it through, almost no mold, lovely stuff got a jar of it around still, some of my favorite. I'll take a couple dry pics when I get a chance. thank you wally, thank you reddy1. I still have like 8 seeds left, I have to make f3s

Those look amazing i doubt i could grow them in the UK but they look FAT as.

damn dude, nice job, glad you had a nice enough season to finish those. i'm in the great lakes region and generally don't like to go past september outdoors. those seeds need until middle of october like you showed. glad you got some good smoke out of it. looks just like the parents i had. tall, lanky 4 foot spears of bud with long fingered fan leafs. would be cool if you made f3s as the 3rd breeder with these genes. share the love.

Hey Don, thank you for the great pics! And thank you reddy1 for what looks like an outstanding cross. I did score a pack of these (TY sir!). You can def see the c99 influence in the leaf structure.

Pls. hit us back with a smoke report... did it taste like pineapple or orange candy??

I have a pack of those, I've got 3 different Reddy1 beans. I liked the fact that he puts Wallyducks name first, front and centre. Those plants look beautiful, nice thick colas. I too would like to hear smoke reports, but in my mind they are prob stunning headies.

heres a brief vape report, I'm not quite Hemingway, I find it hard to put into words. I tried to take a couple dry pics but they turned out like shit, heres the best one, you can kinda see whats doing

Calio99#1 is very sweet, creamy c99 slightly pineappley type smell, with a twist of orange/citrus, potent but not out of this world, great c99y type high, but without the raceyness, little bit of body. super tasty in the vape, pretty much exactly what I imagined when I saw Calio x c99

Calio99#2 is similar to #1, but more more of a sweet and sour thing, not really pineappley just sweet. this one is a little more potent, c99 type high, little bit racey. also very tasty, more of a sour type taste

the orange/citrus taste/smell was more prominent when it was fresher, after 3 months in a jar its still there but more subtle and the sweet c99 tastes have kinda taken over

does anyone know what calio wally used? I dont think he would have that aeric77 calio cut in Australia would he? I think I remember reading it was nirvana calio? maybe he will see this thread

those descriptions are making me jealous. never found them too racy, this is coming from somebody addicted to caffeine and b12 shots. wish i had some of that to puff on. outdoor weed is my favorite.

here's what i dug up on the origins of them.

these are some seeds i had around from a cross i did a while ago , i used the pineapple cindy ive been playing with and crossed it with nirvanas calio orange ,( id have to say it was from seed several years ago , and wasnt like the calio orange nirvana has now ) she had a really orangey taste ,,, . but sadly i lost her in an upset i suffered earlier in the year , many good lives were lost , i still mourn over them at times ...
anyhow to cut a long story shot , i did grow them out just recently , amazed how fast they formed a very large and fat head , started off smelling a little skunky , but the end result is quite similar to the original mum in taste , quite orangey , and the buds are the usual crystally and trichome encrusted babes one is used to seeing from cindy ... just a sec and ill pop up a pic for you ...

Seeing this thread makes me what to pop my calio99! Wally's choice of the older version of cali-o is great news, as the newer release just wasn't anything close to the original. I've still got some cali-o f2's... think I'll do both of these next run and see if I can get a good pheno. The original was reported to be a skunk pheno, and was an old school cross with lots of interesting characteristics. Not a heavy hitter in the potency dept., but one of the cool effects was "occular accuity". It felt like my vision was sharpened, and it seemed like the orange colors in the spectrum were exaggerated, if that makes sense.
