Voting day

Today is the primary elections with lots of important offices and measures to vote for. There are soo many candidates it's hard to sift through.
I don't vote based solely on candidates stance on cannabis, but it is a factor I consider, especially for offices like District Attorney, Judge of the Superior Court, and State Senators. I'm having trouble finding this information on the candidates though, anyone know a resource that shows the candidates that support MMJ or cannabis legalization?

My pamphlet only shows two measures, 28 and 29, on the state ballot. There are the primaries, and then some local elections.

A message from John Dennis:

Thanks to the support of the liberty community, last night I soundly beat three democrats and one green party candidate in yesterday’s congressional primary. This sets up a 1 on 1 contest between Pelosi and me this year!

As you know, Dr. Ron Paul previously endorsed my candidacy against Pelosi, making me one of the few liberty candidates to win a primary this election cycle.

Because of California’s new “open primary” system, I will now be the*ONLY candidate on the ballot against Pelosi. That’s right, there will only be TWO choices this November: PELOSI OR ME... tyranny OR liberty.

Will you help me represent the liberty community and take on Pelosi in her own backyard?

Please click here to chip-in $10 or more in support of my candidacy against Pelosi.

I admit taking on Pelosi is an uphill battle, and it is going to take a lot of hard work to unseat her.

But we should remember this will be a high profile race, with endless opportunities to promote our shared ideals in both the national and local media.

We’ll have the chance to challenge Ms. Pelosi on the*war in Afghanistan, her*support of torture, her*cheerleading the corporate bailouts, thebillions of dollars of debt*she has racked up in her career in congress, her unconscionable, indefensible*vote for the disgraceful NDAA, and her mandate that she and the*elite in Washington D.C. make our medical decisions.

Will you stand with me? I’m willing to go after Pelosi on the issues,*but I need your help.

Please click here to make a contribution of $10, $25, $50, $100, $500, $1,000, the maximum of $2,500, or whatever you can afford, today!

Remember Dr. Paul is not returning to congress next year, so it is up to us to give the next generation of liberty candidates the fuel they need to continue, to keep fighting, to keep the torch of liberty lit.

Every single contribution is needed regardless of size.

Please click here to chip-in $5 as a sign of support of my candidacy against Pelosi.

In Liberty,

John Dennis

Virtually every Incumbent got reelected to their respective US Congress seat(s). Californians must really like the way DC is running things. I am now convinced that Californians, by and large, are fucking automatons.

Well done California!!

Does it really fucking matter who gets in office or tossed out...it will be the "same old song and dance" or (what ever fucking quote you would like to use...) anyhow, unless we all stand up, united from coast to coast it WONT FUCKING CHANGE...

There has to be a stopping point of blaming one state after another, Its high time (no pun intended) that we all stand up as fucking American citizens and take back our country.

Whereas I agree that nothing will change if we continue to keep voting Incumbents back into office, I disagree with the "WONT FUCKING CHANGE". At 52 years of age and a native Californian, I seen what was once a prosperous state go down the toilet due to the "status quo".

It won't fucking change if "we" continue to do nothing. So what's the alternative? Here's a novel concept..vote out the incumbent(s) and see what "new blood" brings. And if they don't effect a change, vote them out in the next election cycle as well.

The attitude of "It doesn't matter who gets into office" is precisely what TPTB want you to believe.

I will continue to vote. I will continue you criticize the fools that vote in incumbents. What's your solution? Come together and take our country back? How? Armed revolution? I wouldn't necessarily disagree with that approach, but are YOU willing to fire the first round?

Dude the corporation have their tentacles to deep and embedded in the gov's business, the damage has been done and there is not one damn thing we can do about it.

if you really want to make changes in cali, I say get rid of all the illegals mooching off our system, hell that alone would free up tons of cash flow.

Oh btw I'm a cali native too...of 48yrs.

And yes if we have to fight to take it back then so be it.

Hmm...I grew up in the barrio of the East Bay, Decoto to be precise, and I broke bread with many "illegal" families who worked the fields. It wasn't the "illegals" I saw abusing the system, it was the 2nd/3rd generation "kids" who didn't want to work the fields who I saw abusing the system. I saw many able bodied men who kept their "old ladies" popping out babies to get more AFDC/welfare/food stamps. The illegals and/or 1st generation immigrants were kind, hard working folk.

The problem with California lies in the fact that we have an initiative process where the FUCKING MORONS (read: populace) can vote in programs that require spending and then the legislature is left trying to figure out where the funds will come from...BRILLIANT!!! Leave the big decisions in the hands of "The People" who want nothing more than to watch American Idol and their favorite sports event!!!

The corporations are entrenched in government...wanna know why?

"The People" are too stupid to be paying attention and they don't fucking care. This election here in California drives that home...every incumbent got reelected.

Don't blame it on the illegals....Look into the mirror to place the blame. We did it to ourselves.

On a local level we can only blame ourselves. I haven't seen the voter turnout numbers, but they were predicted to be very low. That means that a large number of people are allowing the decisions that affect them to be made by what could be characterized as a minority.

Blaming immigrants is trite and myopic.

Great post, Dave. I'm also a native Californian (back several generations), and if the majority of the populace had a fraction of the work ethic that most of the illegals had, we would be in far better shape. I don't agree with things like the "Dream Act" because, to me, it is crazy to subsidize education for illegal immigrants when our own citizens cannot afford a college education without taking on tremendous debt loads, but the illegal immigrants are largely doing jobs that our citizens won't fill.

Hmmm...I grew up on the southside as well, with the homies and the brothers...also did my fair share of field work too...

and I'll say it again, if they weren't here in the first place, their kids of the second, third, and so on generations wouldn't be here...so no matter how you cut the cloth, they are still to blame for their future generations.

Wow. Considering that many of their families were here in California first...? Wow.
