ah, where to start? Just puffed a couple joints of this vortex here...saved it for after my vacation to the 'sea' (it's actually a lake) of Galilee. Very pleasant!
Looks- this sample was done outdoors quite well in soil (conditions allowing). Fluffy, almost olive green sativa buds, with pistils poking up in clusters here and there among the buds...long runs of smallish calyxes spiraling around a main stem. Trichs are mostly clear to the eye, rather small but they are everywhere. More light would have compacted the buds nicely, yet it still has some density to it. Breaks up easily, not too dry and with a dusting of trichs on the fingers....good things to come!
Smell- Now this is a tough one to nail down. A base fruit blossom aroma, with a garnish of sweet ?onions? and a bit of a rotten smell to it. Overall the notes are not very strong until it is broken up, but extremely interesting indeed. Never had herb that smells quite like this before I gotta say. Flavor on the dry puff is more distinct in the sweetness, none of the rotten notes coming through.
Taste- Sickly sweet is a good way to describe it, a faint playing of fruit notes across the palate. Lasts well after the smoke....I did enjoy the flavor of this herb! Very smooth and refined feel to it.
High- It's not the strongest herb on the planet but it got me buzzing! All the head here, a throbbing temple full on HIGH ride with this one. Have to smoke a little bit more to get to a nice level but that's not really a problem, is it? I have yet to hit a ceiling with this, just continues to escalate in intensity...smoke one joint and you will be mellowed out for an hour or 2 with it trailing off nicely with no crash, or smoke 3 bongloads and creep into what becomes an concentrated excitement of the senses, with a mind racing aspect to it I found very similar to C99 with a very flat peak to the high with the mellowness dropping off (I found it interesting that it did not increase my heart rate or coordination levels after initial acclimation to the effect). Not many waves here, more like solid plateaus to the effect. I like it very much, as I do most all sativas!
Like I have noted before, it is nice and dry with a tiny bit of moisture remaining in it...the flush is proper, ashes white and with no harshness to the smoke unless there is some foilage mixed in with the calyxes.
I'd like to give my thanks to you for reading through this. Any questions you might have I'll be happy to field them with my experience from this sample.
All the best!
