Vitamin C removing chloramine

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I figured you organic guys are probably most likely do it. I've heard a few different growing podcasts mention using vitamin c to remove chloramine from tap water but I can't remember the ratios they mentioned and I can't remember the exact episodes it was mentioned in to go back and listen again. Does anyone do this and if so how much do you use? When I Google it it just says 1000mg will remove the chloramine from a bathtub but I don't know how big a bathtub is I just know its a lot bigger than the 10L I need. Thanks for any help

I have used it to ph tap water before, 1/8 tsp/gallon
it holds the ph a lot better than citric acid so I wouldn't add more than is needed to bring the water to 6.0

What is the ratio of char to water to remove Chloramine from the water? I have plenty of char from when I made some Terra Preta, but no Ascorbic acid.

Just use rain water and leave the tap alone. Tap water has a modified pH to prevent heavy metals from leaching from the pipes and into the drinking water. Calcium carbonate is a byproduct of tap and is poorly soluble in pure water and is known as a base ion. The Hydroxyl ions are pretty much set in stone, when it comes to pH in tap water. Tap doesn't allow full nutrient contact because the Hydroxy ions are taking up space on the receptor sites. If you use Rain or RO (reverse osmosis) you can get super clean water too and super growth. 😎
