Visiting San Diego

I am going to San Diego in a couple of weeks for a conference and a job interview but I will have some free time and a car. Its been a few years since I have been there and I have been to the zoo, Coronado, LaJolla, Point Loma and a couple beaches.

Looking for something different to see and do. Any suggestions? Favorite bar, restaurant, smoke shop, grow shop, beach,or anything else that may be interesting.

I am ready to get away from this 100 degree heat and enjoy the 70s in San Diego!

Go to sunset cliffs its relitively people free , you have to climb down a rope , so ther is only a handfull of people , & surfers. When the tide is low you can climb around to caves.(great smoking spot.)

Go to O.B you can hook up on the wall + cool atmasphere.

torry pines is cool , up top. They have seals on seel beach in (la Jolla spelling? ).

On O.B. at the end of neport ave where reaches the beach ther is a hole in the wall mexican restraunt , called rodieo ...best carnia sadas I,ve ever had.

I go to a club down voltair good meds at resonable prices i,ll pm the location .....not sure if im aloud to say.

I could go on and on sandeigo rocks.

Not really 70s in august. At night perhaps. I say bring a plane tickets $ worth to drop on a nice bho/earwax oil piece. sovereignty, toro, whatever and then some earwax or fullmelt to go with! Mind blowing i must say. If on a budget plenty of places to go. Stay away from tourist traps u mentioned IMO. Web browse these a little more off grid. Lucha libre (MvF) - frisbee golf - chronic smoothies - Tourmaline beach - ob cliffs (jump where the crowds at)- swap meet - wahoos... Theres a start!

Chase: Thanks a lot. I haven't been to Ocean Beach and sunset cliffs so I will check that out and I love Mexican food. I will check out Torrey Pines. As far as the club on voltair: I live in the Southeast USA so can I get in there?

Irobotsd: I checked the weather and your right: about 80 during the day and 70 at night. Still beats 105. I got the cash for a nice bho/earwax oil piece. Lucha Libre: Is this the taco shop in Mission Hills? Tourmaline beach: I drove right by this at least ten times. Will check it out. Thanks for all the ideas.

ocean beach / pacific beach and there's a bar called hurricanes right on the beach and order a category 5 hurricane drink while your there chill'n on the balcony right on the beach!

If you happen to go into the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego, there's killer fish and chips at the Tin Fish. Of course, since it's also the downtown area there's a plethora of bars too!

Really good vinyl record stores within walking - Thirsty Moon (my fav) - Record City (classics) - Taang (overpriced).. Drove by the Rodeo in Lakeside (never been) nothing but 1/2 drunk 1/2 clothed babes in heat. no pun, .. Try ocean kayak in la jolla its unforgettable. Saw some guys fitted out in LA jerseys and Fitted caps ears tucked in trying one time... LOL let just say they didnt know how to kayak or swim for that matter. Go in swim shorts because you're most likely going to flip over and in these guys case over & over & over...
