Hi everyone, this is my first try at a crop with CO2. Extremely good results. I'm really really really happy. :)

Good job...I'm really looking forward to future grows as you get the setup dialed in better. Nice photo skills. I'd really like to take the final step someday to a closed system for better enviro control in general. I'd like to manipulate humidity as I can't do that now. Also like to have the girls soaking in that extra dose of CO2 also.

Take care...

nicely done. co2 makes quite a diff. doesnt it? beautiful buds.

The difference with the addition of CO2 has been astounding. Well, let me offer some qualitative evidence. This is my 4th grow in DWC with my FISS strain. I was using a 1000 watt HPS with good ventilation. GH nutes (2 dif batches) 800ppm veg, 1000 ppm bloom. I have had yields in the following order; 9 oz, 11, and 8.

Here are the changes with this rotation's cycle. I've added a fuzzy logic CO2 controller (igs-220). This keeps the daytime CO2 (all 12 hours) at 2000. The controller has an output for ventilation control. When the controller floods the room, the fans are shut off. The controller will maintain a steady 2000ppm of CO2 until the temperature hits 95f. Then the fans will activate, and fill the room with cooler air from the veg chamber where the AC lives. When the temps hit 75, the fans stop and the room is flooded.

I've added new Nutrients. Instead of GH 3 part, I tried Supernatural's 2 Part Aqua nutes. I wanted to try a higher nute schedule, so I went with 1200 veg, and 1600 bloom.

I've added two more lights, and two more tables. I have three lights side-by-side with 3 10 site DWC buckets. The middle light is a 1000 watt MH, and the two outside lights are HPS.

That's about it for changes. Now for some projected numbers... I'm going to guess 50 oz. That's half a grams per watt. 9, 11 and 8 are .25 g/w, .31 g/w, and .2 g/w respectively. That's a .25 average. So, if I'm right, I will have seen a 2x increase.

How much of that is due to the CO2? The nutes? The splash-over lighting? The controller? I don't know about you, but I'd have my guess be that the order of the most effective yield gainer would still have CO2 as the #1, followed by nutes at #2, the controller at #3, and the splash-over lighting at #4. I still think that 50% may not be out if this world, but who really knows, right? No scientific method here... :(

That's all? You've been pretty busy bro...lol. I'm taking changes a little slower and I think the final step for me will be CO2. I'm currently working on a chiller system for the res, still tweaking ventilation a bit and am going to start playing with soiless soon. I tell ya...my learning curve has accelerated since joining here.

Looking good.

I too am thinking of jumping into a closed system but dont think I can with my situation without having heat issues. Time will tell when summer arrives.

Well, here's some of the shots from the chop at day 53. I got some nice unexpected color in some of the smaller buds. A lot of purple too. Smells fucking incredible! :)
