Vigilante justice in Stepney ( Tower Hamlets) , London , E1,,

Hi,,
people may have seen on the news etc that vigilante justice was served when a robber was disarmed then his own machete was used to chop his hand off,,, over in Tower Hamlets,London E1,,,
News blacked out info that a gang from Newham ,,,went into Stepney ( Tower Hamlets) armed with Machetes and Zombie knifes to rob locals ,,,both White,,Black and Bangladeshi were robbed until the locals got together and dispensed some vigilante justice,,,
Next day a Bangladeshi was stabbed in the back and chased off by a number of blokes from Newham,,,
Confrontation was arranged and chaps from Newham duely arrived with there “ metal” but we’re faced with Stepney locals carrying 3 handg..s and a Scorpio as well as the other stuff. ,,,
suffice to say the Newham chaps jumped back into there cars and sped off without a shot fired,,
This also didn’t make the news,,,,,
shit the press block over here is getting ridiculous,,,
Unfortunately now,,stop n search is ramped up 10 fold,,,causing traffic probs or just going from A to B is a nightmare even more bizarre was a Public statement from a Tower Hamlets Councillor basically saying “ Don’t mess with Stepney”,,
trying to get about in London, E1,,E3,,or E14 is a total nightmare and I have to go there on Sat ,,,
Thought for the day = Don’t bring a machete to a g..fight,,,,,lol,lol,
Do ICers think or feel that vigilante justice is acceptable and a “ means to an end”? or totally unacceptable in every way,shape and form ? or “ just a sign of the times”?,,,,s2

most see it as unacceptable until they are confronted by someone not afraid of jail time, and to whom LEO seems to be no deterrent . if LEO is not around (for whatever reason), you have to stomp your own snakes...

The problem with dishing out punishment on the spot, is when people get it wrong. Or when a group simply say somebody did something wrong in order to harm them. That's why we picked our gang of law providers, and make them follow so many rules. Including trials. Where physically harming people isn't an option, as they still get it wrong so often.

Often it's the threat of extreme violence that does the most good though. Some people are happy enough inside, where they find the company pleasant and get meals provided. So they really don't see it as a deterrent. Not like getting bits chopped off is.

If you live by the gun, you can expect to die by it. Except that won't happen, and we all know it. Prison is as bad as it gets in the UK.

I would be cautious about punishments beyond imprisonment. Even after lengthy trials, we had to stop Eucking people up as we kept getting it wrong. How would a mob do any better

If thugs made a habit of committing serial offenses against the neighborhood, then perhaps setting an extreme example MIGHT (might not) get sufficient attention to cause those who previously thought they were immune to such karma to pay better attention to boundaries.

On the other hand, they might return with some automatic weaponry of their own one day, and escalate the situation. Time will tell.

Were it me and mine, I'd have no guilty conscience about the outcomes. Some folks simply require more harsh reality testing in order to integrate life's lessons. For them, especially them, they make fragmentation projectiles.

That was me 40 years ago. In one of my court appointed mental health sessions I accidentally let on that jail was my 'safe place'. I often found jail much preferable to life on the street. It is not easy to get arrested safely. Forty nine arrests shows the deterrent effect arrests make, and when it is someone else entirely being punished...who cares?

I wised up after four years of hard time. Before then not much was going to deter me, no matter how many other's hands were cut off.
If it was not me then I did not care.
If it was me, then yes, I would not use the cut off hand for crime any more.

This is just starting IMO. Bringing in a bunch of third-worlders to cause chaos, which they will fix with their control, that is their plan. You may want to get out of their way, to somewhere where maybe they will leave you alone. I like a place where almost everybody is armed, and polite. And cops seem un-needed.

Not sure about the city but often cops can be 20+ minutes away outside city limits. I had someone kick my door in after I let my dog out and we held each other at gunpoint for what seemed like forever. He slowly scooted back to the door telling me to be cool. I believe in sticking up for yourself and those around you if push comes to shove. Sometimes instinct just kicks in and everything happens and you step back and say wow did that just happen.

You obviosly never been to a super max prison.nobody sane wants to go there.my dad has the same mentality.he did 14 years
