High all,

The selected Vietnam Black mother is the mother of our Orient Express hybrid. Orient Express has the VB effect and aroma but it flowers one month faster than VB, with a smaller size and better indoor adaptability. Then it is not our priority to release a pure Viet Black.

I'd recommend you to look in the VietBlack Thai hybrid or even Golden Tiger (althought it has no VB, there are some Golden Tiger phenos with the deep organic rotten aroma and very high resin production, very similar to the best VB expressions). Hope it helps.

Seems like it would be a good bet. I got a good female VB pheno from my Orient Express.

yea, both the OE and the VBxThai are f1's so there 25% chance of finding a strong VB pheno from either strain...

guess that's the direction to take...

Wow, when I saw Vietnamese Black posted I flipped!....That was my first grow...1970...I got the seeds from an Army Barracks, in Georgia. That's when I first learned that MJ loved lime. We planted in a dad's old farm plot near a pond. The soil was dark and tender. Well those VB grew to 12-13 feet tall! It was the strongest pot I had ever smoked, at that point. We would tripp around the lake and woods and go crazy playing Led Zepplin. Those were some of the best highs ever.......

Viet Combo Vietnamese x Vietanamese Black

Offspring of this cross has produced a range of outcomes from the trippiest to soaring highs while others can bring on paranoia, racing heart beat and hallucinations for those not used to it. Generally speaking Viet combo's most early finishing phenos are around 10+ weeks, which is the fastest pheno I've found to date. A large majority will finish around the 12 -14 weeks while the rare odd freak will try and push past the 15 week but what an awesome racing head high these have known to produce. A few to many hits from one of these wonders I found myself staggering around like a drunken sailor with no control over my body. Not for light weight smokers and recommended for only experienced growers if attempted indoors. For indoor grows I highly recommend flowering direct from seed and provide ample light to achieve maximum results. A good curing period is essential for a quality smoking session.

Greetings KSP. How long did your VB pheno take to finish? And what was the percentage of cloudy/amber? I've got one adorable little Orient Express seedling going, just over a week from seed, and I'd like to map out a worse case scenario for flower time, for vacation planning purposes. The first set of leaves were sativa thin, but I don't know if you can predict which pheno it is this early.
