I was just wondering if anyone had experience with VHO, not HO, T5s as compared to HPS bulbs? I've read that they give out heat watt for watt compared to hps? Any truth to this? I was looking at VHOs because I was considering the potential for their stealthiness, especially in the fact that you don't have to buy lights that are more well known to be used for growing. I'm not getting any equipment anytime soon, so u was just asking to satisfy my curiousity. If anyone has any input I would love to hear it.

Vho bulbs compatible with ho t5 fixtures? Never heard of em. . Gonna google it...
I ran 80 watt Red Sun VHO T5 bulbs for most of a year, the bulbs had a very short life and I did not feel they were worth replacing. I feel the same way about HPS, not really a good choice for quality marijuana growing. That puts me in a minority position and I do not usually even mention it as I do not wish to argue.
The heat coming off T5 VHO is equivalent watt for watt with the HPS bulbs, any leaf within a foot will get dried out was my experience.
LEDs heat up air, which can easily be removed. HID and HPS bulbs heat up the surfaces, which then must be cooled by air, which now must be removed. Not heating the walls, table, and ceiling make the room much simpler to cool.
If stealth is the object, LED leaves less signature to be detected.
