Very Tip of Leaves Singed

Hey guys, what's your opinion:
Outdoor plants in southern CA, potted in 4 gal potts, "organic" potting soil w/ dolomite lime and a little vermuculite. They are watered with outdoor hose(hard) water. I have sprayed them down with Safer's soap insectecide for small bug problem now alleviated. PROBLEM: My Mako Haze's in particular are curling slightly in the "new" growth areas and the very tips of the leaves look singed. Otherwise the plants appear healthy with vigorous growth and a nice green(not too yellow/green or dark). The new growth areas are also slightly purple in the middle. What's up with these?

looks to me like they just hit their nutrient saturation point. The burnt tips as well as slight clawing, as well as the "crinkly" appearance of the leaves overall, all lead me to believe that she's nearing overfeeding. This doesn't neccesarily mean that you've given her too much fertilizer, or any at all. I've had plants become overferted from the soils nutritional content alone.
Nothing severe so I would just proceed with regular water untill she gives you the basic signs of being hungry. If after a week or so of straight water she doesn't perk up, then you might consider a flush...
