Very high CBD strains, which ones?

Ok let's get some dialog going. I'm glad the Stanleys foind that cutting, but it seems to me they're positioning themselves for branding and business more than anything. They hit harlequin with some help and portray their find to the greater community which doesn't know better as some miracle find. The language I hear out of groups associated with them sounds way too focused on the Stanleys and Charlottes Web specifically being the patients answer. I'd like to see greater focus on CBD in general - not just one cutting a family is trying to build a business around. If my conceptions of this situation are incorrect I'd love to have them corrected.

Yes. The medical community need more than one specific plant. Different ratios can have different benefits. They all need to be explored. If they really wanted to "help", cuts of Charlotte's Web would be freely available to anyone who needs it. Maybe they are, but I don't think so?
... On the other hand, they have greatly helped reduce the stigma surrounding our magic flowers. Their part in the Gupta weed documentary marks a turning point in the general public attitude. Seeing an old man with back pain smoke a joint to get some peace doesn't carry the same kind of weight as watching a 3 year old little angel get her life back solely due to cannabis. I think that one segment of that documentary did more for the cause than the last 20 years of activism combined. That was the moment when regular old Americans that have been taught the evils of the Devils weed, opened their eyes.

What i noticed most of the time is that it calms you down in a spiritual mood of meditation, especially with a higher content of THC.Without THC is difficult to tell.I smoked a lot of an autoflower from the Kirov region in the 90s.

Keep on growing :)

Good feedback.

Looking forward to trying what I just ordered -

CBD Seeds Shark
CBD Crew Critical Mass
Resin Cannatonic
Dinafem Shark Shock

... all with 5% to 6% CBD. Looking forward to a CBD fest.

Freedom of Seeds has a "Doctor Kush", with some CBD, but they don't say how much.

If you cross a CBD rich strain with something high-THC, I was wondering about how much the CBD carries on in the offspring.

sounds like there's 2 methods to measure that -
* human consumption
* lab test with analytical equipment, a la Josh @ SC.

AHEM, The Stanleys who are a family of growers in Denver have bread a strain called Charlotte's web which is less than 1%THC and 21%CBD. You can see the whole story how they are treating kids with epilepsy with it on the show Weed-with Dr. Sanjay Gupta

Problem is, Charlotte's Web is not the answer for everyone. As big a factor for some is the terpene profile and the THC ratio. All these ingredients work together, and each patient has different requirements. By passing laws in some states allowing "Charlotte's Web" only, as if it were the magic bullet, is just a power grab, and a phony "compromise" by the prohibitionists. They want to appeal to the ignorance of the average person and pretend, falsely, that one strain is the answer. They are just muddying the waters to keep other strains illegal. A case in point is Florida, where the governor endorsed only Charlotte's Web, as if it were the only medical strain.

That is so funny. Typical of mainstream american culture to deem CBD somehow more "medicinal" than THC, just because CBD treats physical rather than mental ailments. Mental health is considered of minor importance here. Just keep the people in working condition. In addition, the branding/marketing makes it all the more American.

There is still a stigma against mental illnesses, as crazy as that is. It's as though an illness of the body is not the patients fault, yet an illness of the mind is the "crazy" person's fault. Terpenes are very important in healing in some cases, but they are being excluded in some of these "new" laws, which are trying to single out "Charlotte's Web" as the only medicinal herb. The Stanleys are also pushing this notion, as they would like the market to themselves. Totally absurd, which is usually the case when politicians get involved. Governor Scott in Florida signed off on Charlotte's Web, making ONLY that strain available to qualified patients. He is against medicinal cannabis in regards to all other strains.
How stupid is that? Hopefully, on November 4, the voters of Florida will over rule his perpetuation of ignorance. Problem is, they need 60% of the vote, which isn't easy in a state rife with evangelicals and elderly. The young demographic has shown a propensity to avoid voting, which killed the bill in Cali a couple years back. Hopefully the youth vote will come out in Florida. It's in their hands. If they are too lazy to get out and vote, the bill could be defeated.

Cbd also treats mental illness in some as a potent anti-psychotic. The reason the people and the legislature is swallowing the Charlotte's Web thing is the Stanleys are adept marketers and really good lobbyists. They're using their non profit to push around and get legislatures to effectively give them a monopoly in providing medical grade cannabis. That's bad enough but then they can't even seem to keep up with the demands of a few hundred patients, despite all this cash, and instead of turning waiting patients on to competitors or other suppliers, they put them on a waiting list. If that's not business worried about the bottom line I don't know what is.

I hope they re-stock. Place I looked was all out of everything. I didn't even know about Snowpack or 303's work with CBD.

Thanks for the info - SNOWPACK ! :peacock:

Never heard of 15% CBD. Everything I ordered is 5% to 6%. And feminized. I'm slowly realizing - if I want to make seeds with a CBD enhanced male ...

I totally agree. I'm not sure a lot of people understand this. In fact, I imagine most don't know this, and don't realize this strain is just one of thousands that can really help people.

But I have chosen to instead look at this as not as much the money making scheme and the vain effort to corner the market as it most obviously is. But as an in, a way to get the ball rolling, to get discussion and research further ahead.

Let those petty coin counters have that if that is what it takes. And I will try not to bitch if that is what it takes. The truth will always come out in the end anyway.

Charlotte's Web is just 1 of many strains that have high levels of CBD. What I would like to see is a Terpenes test on CW. Terpenes is what makes ea strain Unique in some circumstances. Setting CBD to the side what else does the strain offer that's not in other high CBD strains..

303 Seeds can only be purchased in CO, You will need to have friends that live there that will get them for you.. Once they went legal they could no longer sale seeds outside of CO.

So do these get you high, or just "medicinal"? I know the CBD blocks the THC receptors, but will the 5% extra THC get you high?

Don't know, I would expect them to be good...1ST time I have had a strain with such high % in CBD.. There still in veg I will have a grow log on them when there ready to flower. I will pick the best of the 6 to test..
