hey mellow yellow thanks for checking in!

highlighter, these lamps with the X-lens technology are supposed to throw down about 4x more light than a standard LED with a 90 degree primary lens, so yeah im interested to see what gets harvested at the end of the grow!

hi all, we are at 2.5 weeks now and the plants look to be finishing their stretch, all going well atm. lamp is about 15" from the tops as this allows it to cover the canopy pretty well.

ChemD this seems to be responding to the new soil quite well. not too much of the marbling trait which seems to be exacerbated by magnesium deficiency.

You da man VG.

Do you clean up under the screen at all or you let that stuff grow like mad also?

Now that i am in a cab myself i'm lookin to follow in your foot steps. You do a great job at pullin good numbers out of your setup

paulo, g0v, thanks for stopping by :tiphat:

FlaDankster, i tend to leave most of the growth under the screen - i find that the lower leaves tend to get the goodness sucked out of them by the plant and recycled, also my screens are fairly low and usually the lower branches stretch enough for the end bud to go through the screen - this can be really useful as a gap filler in the canopy - just ease it through the screen where you need it!
there you go thats a trade secret out of the bag :D
lastly, i have saved genetics on a few occasions by taking a cutting in mid-late flower. those weedy lower branches with minimal bud growth are ideal for this.
short answer : perhaps im just too lazy to take it off

e 24 - thanks

cheers

Helpful and informative journal. Nice plants too.

I'm very interested in what you are doing, I'm saving up to migrate to LED from HID (150w).

Perfect - I was going to ask you this same thing and had planned on either late-flower cloning or a reveg. Do you try to just use the new growth? I'm finding a lot of the shorter lower branches to have wooded up quite a bit.

Looking inspirational in there.

Green81 - yep its not my first rodeo ;)

GP - thanks - yep its coming on :tiphat:

Duplicate - thanks for that :D

analogue, gia, pranoman - thanks for stopping in guys

2000rpm - yeah its good to use softer growth if you can, but woody cuttings will still root, just a bit slower. try to choose one with as little bud growth as possible
if that doesnt work then you can try revegging the plant - but tbh i have never had to do that.
