venting to clothes dryer question

i am planning the exhaust part of my grow box right now. here's set up:
-30"WX36"HX20"D rubbermaid white on white cabinet.
-1 150W Sunburst HPS fixture with air cooled hood (internal ballast), i have it already./4X24W CFL in mini paint light. reflectors clipped to scrog frame.
- EXHAUST, either 1 105cfm 4" axial plug in fan OR 1 120cfm 4" panasonic whisperline inline fan, will need modification to plug.
-intake hole or holes...? not sure yet.
anyway, i would love to get away with the axial fan, just $20 and plug and go. but may go with other 1 which is about $120 on ebay. i will have a carbon scrubber filter can in box, maybe even a vaportek 4000 on outside for any left over odor. cannot have any odor.
i want to just vent to laudery room (14X14), where box will be in basement. rest of basement is about 20X14. louvered doors seperating laudery room from rest of basement and those doors are usually open. i will also have a air purifier in laudery room w/ an oscilating fan after purifier exhaust blowing 24/7 clean fresh air towards box and intake holes. then i was thinking i can easily tie exhaust into clothes dryer vent duct, BUT now i am thinking what happens when dryer comes on...will there b a problem? AND i don't know if it will stnk up clothes....
HOW MANY OF U ACTUALLY VENT TO OUTSIDE WORLD, NOT JUST TO ROOM...? HOW MANY VENT TO DRYER DUCT VENT? THANKS.

heat signature from a dryer vent 24 hrs a day is one of the easiest ways for cops to get a warrant if using infrared.....bad plan. imo

what the infrared picks up the heat u mean...? if they are checking in my area, as soon as they come into basement they'll see a ridiculous salt water reef tank w/ 500W of MH, along w/ VHO's....
i'm kinda shying away from venting to dryer more each passing hour. BUT still may. can't decide.

well, the exhaust from a dryer, if that is what was on the other end of the vent, would not be on but for a couple of hours a day at best. So, there should be no heat signature from a dryer vent....typically. However, if say the chopper flys over at 2 am and there is a heat signature, and then they fly by again at say 6 am and there is still a heat signature. Then they send a patrol unit by at as 8pm to check the heat signature...if it is still there, then that in and of itself is all that is needed for a warrant. (probable cause)

Over a 150W HPS? Sorry if I sound skeptical, but any chance you could substantiate that with a real-life example? I haven't been able to find anyone running lower wattage (<400W) lights that got busted due to heat signatures, but maybe that's just me.

sorry, heat has a signature. A temp gun can show a variance in increments of the tenth of a degree....after working for "the man"...trust me, they can and will

Yes, but how does owning a warm, SMALL appliance constitute probable cause?

150W of power is absolutely minuscule on the scale of home electronics. If you route your computer exhaust outside of a window you're putting out far more heat than a 150W grow bulb.

I'm just saying, due diligence is a good thing, but there are millions of households that have several hot air exhaust ports, why aren't the police executing search warrants on them? Just sayin'.

I think you guys are taking a bit far. The heat from 150 watts isn't going to justify a search warrant and helicopter fly bys......

In one 1993 case, for example, the search warrant stated the following factors in an attempt to establish probable cause that Arthur Russell was growing Cannabis in a shed on his property: (1) an electric bill averaging around $150 a month, when people with houses twice as large in the same neighborhood used only about $50 of electricity per month; (2) the observation of a large vent fan on the shed wall, similar to ones the officer had previously seen to cool sheds where marijuana was growing; (3) the observation of a sprinkler on the roof of the shed, which the officer believed had the effect of further cooling the shed; (4) observation of bright light escaping through a crack in the shed wall on evenings when the officer had reason to believe that no one was in the shed; (5) Mr. Russell had arranged to read his own electric meter; and (6) he kept an aggressive dog.
An Oregon court held that the above information was insufficient to establish probable cause to believe that Mr. Russell was growing Cannabis, as opposed to some other plant, in his shed. As the court observed: "Taking the unchallenged information as a whole, a magistrate could, perhaps, conjecture that defendant was growing something in his shed. However . . . from that information alone, a reasonable magistrate could not infer that defendant was probably growing marijuana." (State v. Russell [Or. App. 1993] 857 P.2d 220.)

vent out the dryer vent, maybe put a small cheap duct fan between the dryer and where you tap into the vent so it pushes the air away from the dryer
