Venting My Cab? 2x5x6

Okay, grow thread coming soon(soon as I reformat and find my camera).....
Its what I like to call, a 'TNGB', more info with up coming thread.

But to my question....

Cab is 2' deep, by 5' long, by 6' tall.

So I'm at about 60sqf.

From my reading, I need 3-5 air changes a minute.
So my exhaust should be between 180 and 300cfm's.

I also need to build a new carbon scrubber(old one was a big room)

In flower, I'm at about 3x2x6....Right now, have a non air cooled, non remoteballast(built into the hood grrr), 250w MH, with a 250w(230w?) hps conversion bulb. Just shy of the 50wpsf goal(ill have some cfls on the sides), at some point in the next month or so, would like a 400w in a cool tube.

For veg, I have about 2x2x2.5, exacty 2 feet deep.....I don't think I can fit 2ft tubes in there, how long is 2ft tubes? wouldmount them right to the wood with ballasts being up in another area(allready have the ends for them) would end at around 200 watts.

Above that, is either drying or clones and moms, or storage, not to sure yet, and above that is the electrical area.

So now you have most of the info, plz help me figure out my exhaust. Quiet is key, but dont think I can be to quiet with 180-300 cfm. I only have a 150cfm dayton and some crazy pc fans(with no pressure 133 cfm lol) but was gona use them just to blow on plants. I was kind of thinking about the Stanley Blower Mod idea, but my Hope Depot only has them on the website and 'claim' they dont sell it anymore because its not on there system and all systems are the same...

So, for now, I need a blower that would keep the cab cool, and scrub the air(srubber->blower->out cab)

At some point, will prolly use the 150 cfm dayton to cool tube a 400, but what should I do for now??

Sry for such a long post, just wanted to give you all the info I could lol.

By the way, this is my first legal grow hehe, and I have 3 diff strains going and the bubble cloner works like a charm(took some from a flowering plant and got my roots)

Thanx much,
Tom

In case you skiped the novel above, heres to the point questions.

1: What is better, more towars 180 cfm or more towards 300 cfm(will be making carbon scrubber?
2: Yes or no on the Stanley Blower?
3: My 150cfm dayton is prolly to weak huh?
4: Should I make a grow thread?(have pics from the start a couple months ago

guess that should do it, sry for the books lol

Nobody?

think the dayton 150cfm would cool the whole thing byitsef(no scrubber, just the 250mh and some flouros)?
Just until I get another one thats better and scrubber that is......

I allready have a 150cfm dayton, I dont wana go and buy another thats only 9 more cfm lol, thanx though. Also, that is an inline and kinda thought thats not what I should use for exhaust pulling through a carbon scrubber. Am I wrong? Ive only used an inline for exhausting my lights before I moved.

Basicly, either I need a new bigger/higher cfm 'IF' my dayton 150cfm would be to weak. Which I think it would be, but Idk.

Idk, all I have left is put the doors up, build a scrubber, and figure out what fan/blower to use.

Any other ideas, or better yet, if my fan will do the trick??
thanx much, tom

1: What is better, more towars 180 cfm or more towards 300 cfm(will be making carbon scrubber?
--I would say, the 300. You could always slow it down(which will quiet it), and it would give you expandability for your 400w upgrade. Use insulated ducting and you will quiet everything down a bit.

2: Yes or no on the Stanley Blower?
--No experience with this. I have a 4inch Vortex, 6inch Vortex, and a 6inch CanFan. Currently, I only use the 6inch Vortex. I'm cooling a 2x5x7 closet with 400CMH + 600HPS. I split the airflow between the hoods (air-cooled, obviously), and room circulation, all pushed through a Can50 filter. This is really dependant on location, and access to cool air.

3: My 150cfm dayton is prolly to weak huh?
--Yes, esp. if you plan on upgrading. It will work for now, but will be running %100

4: Should I make a grow thread?(have pics from the start a couple months ago
--Yes.. Not that I can say I have, but it's a great way to show off/get help/learn from others..

guess that should do it, sry for the books lol

I would go with the elicent AXC125A It is 159 CFM and only 36 dba

Elicent claims 42 dB. I have the 40 dB 100. That thing is DAMN loud. Quadruple silenced, it's audible at my neighbors door across the street; Fortunately, only with the garage door open. If you go this route, be prepared to lock people out of the grow room or put the fan in the attic.

lol, its in the bedroom i sleep in, need to keep it somewat quiet

but, if you think the 150 dayton will 'do it for now' ill just hook that up and use it till i get a new light or better fan cause the plants are gettin' big and need to go in there like a 2 weeks ago lol(no hermies though thank god)

It can be tamed to that extent. You know what it is and can reduce it mentally to white noise. The problem is those unaware of it's location and purpose find it irritating. Like the Princess and the Pea or a mosquito in the dark. Something's ... not right. Now they want to know where it's coming from and what it does.

Lock the door and you're cool.

Yeah, well we allways leave our fan pluged in anyways cause the wife needs it to sleep, so ppl are used to 'some' noise, plus Ide rather ppl still not know, but I'm a legal grower now sooo....

just with 60cubic ft, the dayton 150cfm would clear it out 3 times a minute, and thats without a scrubber....you really think thats enough for in there? what about when I add the scrubber, would it be to weak then?(i know when/IF I put a 400 in there it would be to weak, but I prolly wont(few month when I move, I can setup the big shit again, dont wana waste money now if ya know what I mean)

Sweet thanx man, read that and the others awhile ago. Good read, I made mine before from back on OG. Man, I was scared shitless when that went down. I remember trying to get on for a couple weeks and then all of sudden found out happened when it was released. I wish there was a way to get copies of my pics from then, I dont' have them anymore.

My scrubber I made a couple years ago is way to big for this lol, it was for a large aero setup with 6 lights. Thoes will be back up soon as I move, so I'm limited to this small cab for a cycle or two, at least I should have my mom's picked by the time I move.

Just I don't wana/have the money to get a new blower right now, and thought the Stanley thing was a good idea, but Idk...........Might try what I have, I know it will work with no scrubber, but with one I think it would be weak but Idk. Only have a 250w, and 150-200w of cfls, depeneding if theres clones at the time. But the light is not air cooled, and has no remote ballast, and am borowing this light so I cant remote it lol.

Idk, thanx though.

a dedicated fan blowing on the hot spot between the 250 and the canopy will help. 200 watts of cfl may change things but I'd give it a try anyway.

I have a 2X3X6 cab with a 400 hps. My fan is a 175cfm htg special with carbon scrubber and home made air cooled hood and my temps are in the mid to high 70's. Hope that helps.

I guess I 'could' vent the left(veg/clone/mom) with pc fans and no scrubber, and use the dayton with a scrubber

Deff just gona leave the 250 in there(plus veg)

Well, I guess I'm going to try to hook up the Dayton I have, wish me luck lols.

Would paint fumes be bad for that plants?? Seems like it would, normaly I would have cab/room done before plants, but was givin' some of the cuts well before I had any wood. And there getting big.
