could some one please help in vent and heat problems
i have i veg room and 1 flower room
the flower room is 14ft long 11ft wide 7ft high
12 600watt vertical set up
the veg room is 6ft wide 12ft long 7 high
the grow is in a basment in a built up area
so filter an odor is an issue
it allso get very hot
the place has air con that has 4---- 4inch outake vent
but not good enough to keep temps down
we have 3 intake points of outside air comeing in so no problems there
money is not an issue safty is
growing stinky strains

could some one tell me there views on how many fans and filters i would need for compleat odor an temp control in such a set up
new to indoor growing
grow areas is compleatly seald

I would start with 2 -12's and go bigger if you need lots of ducting to get the air where it needs to go... big difference pushing air through a hole in the wall or forcing it through twists and turns etc. buy quality filters and I think you will be good if you don't live in a freakishly hot area. I run bare 6's and 1000's and cool all with night time air. it's possible but if money is no issue why not go co2 and minisplit??? you don't spend as much on fans and filters scrubbing odor in a sealed room.

do you mean one 12inch in each room
no problem going two 12inch in flower room
from grow room to out side vents is 30 to 40ft away
getting it out is a few twist and turns
would filltering it from the flower room to a seprate area
and then filltering it a second time through a second fillter for safty
be an option or is that to much for the fillters to push a constant flow
dont no jack about co2 but will deffinatly look in to it
ive got the inflow sorted the veg room will not be such a problem
t5s and 2 mh 600watt it the flower room that will the hardest
but any option open

Uv vgot 7200k in 6's... about 28000btu's of heat generating... thats the issue... in a closed room.

To best keep the odors in and cool wherd money isnt an issue... need 2.5ton split ac. Balz to the wall right?!? ;-)

Yeah... air con

Mitsubishi. Lg. Panasonic... all make mini splits w air handler in the room anf heat exchange outside w precharged lines u can run urself... tho it is a job. Cpl of threads here u can read on for help too.

U need the ac... and likely a commercial dehumidifier or two... which is more heat... mayb a 3ton jic. Peace

hiya,m1 have you thought about installing an ozone generator, that would help massively with your odor problem, i use a mobile air-con unit but it dont do the trick and i will upgrade for a more powerful model in the near future, been using og for years without any problems regarding loss of smell on buds etc, peace and good luck s2

hears the filter systems i now have
i 12in with 2500cfm primium carbon filter for flower room
1 10in with 1130cfm p filter
an 2 10in with 1300cfm with p filter
2 kilmer temp control
im venting the 2 10in extractor 1300 cfm in to the 10in metal aair con
units that are all ready there witch extract air from the basment its in
im getting air through a wall vent from out side fron of house
and pumping it out side
im venting from flower room in to a second room
wear the 2 10in extractor fans and filters are
like a double filter for odur
the fresh air comes through the electric cuburd
theres no worry of water being drawn in
do i need in take fans or will the 12in an 10in extraction fans keep the air flow comeing from front and out the back or will the fans be enough to create negative presure in grow room
witch is sealed one airvent in one out
im gonna leave the aircon for now and see how temps go
starting with 8' 600watt hps then biulding up to 18- 600watt hps
the to air ducts going out wear built for this room only

haveing probs with temps
flower room has 1 12inch extractor 2500cfm
1 10inch intake whitch is takeing the air from out side
i have negitive presure in room as u can see the wall covering
pulling inward like a tent
temps are in the 92s faranhight
what would be the best opstion
another extraction and intake fan or a chiller of some kind
3 weeks in to flower
there doing allrite still---16 bluberry
growing in coco
but cant seem to get it under 90s
i have temp control units on the fans

hiya,,, brick,, you must get those temps down my friend, i am thinking nows the time to get that air con unit, but for now,how about turning some lamps offgoing by your past posts,it seems air-con would be the next step and hopefully cure your problems,could add more ocssilating fans, whats your outside temps, are you pulling in warm air? brick,, try to make sure you air-con unit is plenty powerful for your space,, good luck,,,peace s2

running 12 600w lights 6 horizontal 6 hanging vetical
temps outside are 58 f at moment
the temps a little while back wear in the 30s and the temps
wear in the 100s
the temps uk are comeing down so winter may be easyer
the veg room is also hot 82f but has only 4 600w mh
the good side is i have odor under control
the flower room exhaste gos out in to a second room with 2 10inch
vilter an fan
looking at the mits air cons
but know jack about setting it up

cheers temps are under control 88f now and 70f lights out
can i put carbon filtters and fans in side grow room with out venting outside just blowing round in room to help dampen the smell
i have 12inch extraction fan and a 2500cfm filtter in to exust room the through 2 10in fans and filtters
stinky srain is starting to smell the blueburry was fine the big filltter done the job
but the stinky i can smell
will it take some odor out of the air
the original idea for two filltters wear for total stealth befor exhasted out in to biult up area
as well as the heat comes downas well
need compleat odor control
