Ok I have 2 1000watt lights hooked up to my in-line fan. I vent them out of a dryer exhaust piece on the outside of my house. I recently bought a portable air cond. and now I have to vent the hot air it blows out the back. My question is I want to tie all these lines togethor and can't find the piece I need to connect them. Right now I use a Y shaped pipe but now that I got the air cond. I need a piece that will let 3 lines go in and 1 line come out to my exhaust. I don't know what the piece I am looking for is called and I can't find one. Oh if it is any help I described what I was looking for to the guy at lowes and he called it a cross but they don't sell one and I can't find shit on the net. If someone could give me a hand That would be great :chin:

Could you possible tie the exhaust and the ac before the fan then feed them in the fan or are you looking to do it all at the same point?

1. I have a optima 4000 it takes care of all my oder needs
2. I could, but like you said i want to tie it all in at the same point.....just can't find the damm part. Nothing is worse than knowing what you want and knowing that it is out their but not knowing what it is called or where to get it.

You could just make yourself a box, cut 3 holes into it for input side of the fan, and a fourth, larger hole that goes to your fan for your exhaust.

BTW, it's called a manifold. Or a collector. Or a combiner. Depends on who you talk to.

I would question the wisdom of trying to exhaust 3 heat producing appliances each with 4" ducts thru 1 4" duct...If they do not make the part you want, maybe there is a reason.
I had a 400w and a 1000w air cooled, each with individual computer fans hooked up to one 4" duct. I found a real drop in efficiency and a rise in temps, as opposed as to when they each had their own 4" exhaust vent.

i think they do make the part I want i just can't find it, but I think got bud might have given me a helping hand with some of his fancy terminology. looks like I have some googling to do

oh and the box idea isn't bad but I wanted to take up the least amount of space possible...... I mean what can I say I like to keep my harem full and boxes take up space but I guess I could make a shelf to put it on. Do you happen to have any DIY guides for one of these boxes? You see I am not a very handy guy but I am willing to try if that is my only option.

i think they may also be called adapters, if you really wanted to get nifty you could just plumb the exhaust of the ac unit to one of your lights and then have your lights go your y adapter and have your inline blow it all out, the extra heat (may not be too good for your lights) as those a/c units spit out lots of hot air, but in reality i would never attempt it, just an idea hth

Find a local sheet metal shop in the yellow pages that makes duct and sheet metel parts for AC contractors. draw a simple pic and I bet they would make it for pretty cheap.
