vent question for winter

when bringing in very cold outside air.. how often are your exhaust fans kicking on..

because my problem is passive intake from the outside air being sucked into my tents as the exhaust fans kick on to lower humidity in the tents during lights out...

when this happens my tents get too cold.. any suggestions would be great..

I have an outside duct for cool air. When the lights go out the duct intake is switched from outside air to inside air. I use a cardboard air door cut to fit the end of the duct and it pivots back and forth, blocking the inside or the outside sections in turn.
Simple but absolutely necessary in the winter.

you can buy a heat recovery ventilator, or mix in conditioned air from your central hvac sysem with a wye and volume damper... you can do this manually or with an economizer unit.

or you can simply reheat the incoming air with a simplish electric duct heater or electric space heater.

or you could buy a dehumidifier. or you could build some garish dehumidifier out of tubing and a small pump...pumping in chilled water from outside blowing air across it and draining the condensed water to a condensate pump.

since you probably need a dehuy for the summer months anyway... seems like the best/cheapest option imo.
