Vent into attic with one 600 hps?

Hi everyone.. I was wondering if I could vent a single 600 hps into the attic above my garage without issues? I have several vents on the gables and several gable intake vents as well. The house is a little over 2k sq feet. I don't think it would be an issue as the area I live in is has a very low humidity in general. Any thoughts? I have gone over all the different options from using a window, to venting into the garage.. none seem as viable and easy as using the attic.

I mean intake vents under the soffit :) The house has mutiple intake vents under the soffit and at least 4 gable vents that I can see. The humidity here is under 20 % most all the time.

I have never vented anywhere but the attic.. Some times it will get stinky around the gables and soffit.. Then and only then I would use a carbon filter..GO FOR IT!

If you are positive air flows well up there then yes its a good option. If it doesn't, mold can and will develop in the attic.

This is a concern of mine as well. I wanted to vent into my attic but I also dont want to be the only house on the block with no snow on the roof come winter.

I will only be using this location for 2-3 grow cycles. No snow in my area and I will be fully legal so no worries there either. My setup is a 5 x 9 gorilla inside a garage. I am using the tent as a room and only using one side to grow, the other side has supplies and is basicaly unused for now. I have done hours and hours of research on this topic and I feel that the people that experienced mold issues did not have a properly ventilated setup in many many cases. The air that comes out of my exhaust fan doesn't feel very hot and I don't see this single 600 watt hps changing the environment in a 2k sq ft attic. Thanks for the replies. :thank you:

Shouldn't be any issues in a well vented attic. 600w isn't a lot of heat, and you won't raise the humidity enough in a big attic to matter.

You spoke of gable intakes, when they're more likely exhausts. If they're power vents, they're almost certainly set up to exhaust, which works in your favor.

lol yeah I mean soffit intakes... Gables have large rectangular vents 4 - 5 of them.. unsure if they have fans or not.:blowbubbles:
