Vent duct placement

Hi,

I am going to install a dryer duct (attached pic), in order to exhaust the carbon-filtered air from my tent to the outside of the building.

Q:
Is it better to install the vent at roughly the same height that the duct exits the tent (6ft), or is it ok to install closer to the ground like dryer vents normally are (requiring more flexible duct use).

Note:
Using led lights, so heat is less of an issue here.

Exhaust should be at the top as this is where the hottest air accumulates.

do whatever uses less duct and bends. It makes no difference to the house where the vent is...

As long as efficiency is not an issue and your extraction fan is up to par feel free to run your ducting any way you want to or need too.

I already made the move and went low.
I prefer that it appears to be a common place dryer vent.

You'll get better flow with straight duct than with flex. -granger

Ahh sorry I misunderstood your question.

But if heat and odor are not an issue, why vent it outside at all?

Odor is the issue I am dealing with here.

Air flow is good.
