vegging room question....

okay icmagger's...lol....you have all been so helpful...okay...i have a question....i am gonna have this flowering room system i am about to tell you...and in the future, i want to expand it times 2..

to start- 1-600 watt hps
1-600 watt quantum digi ballast
1- sun system super sun 2 reflector
1- 3x3 foot aeroponics system

okay...thats the beginning od the flower room, which i want to make exactly double down the road a bit...my question is...for my vegging room, what would be a good size mh bulb, as far as watts...i will be doing SOG grows, but i need the one veg room to be strong enough for the expansion down the road...would a 250 watt mh bulb cut it for this? i will only be vegging for a short time, due to the SOG, but the SOG is more than a few plants....

any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated...

hello fish. the more lumens you can throw at your plants in veg will be just as good as the more lumens you can throw to the plant durring flower. a 250w mh would be great for vegging, but so is a 250w t5. Currently i run a t5 in veg and a 1000w hps in flower and I get good results (for my standard)

if ur expanding later get another 600 hps for veg now, then a 400 later for veg when u expand

Go with the 400, it covers you now and your expansion. I need 250 just to shave.

edit - plus, if the 600 burns up, the 400 could keep you going till you replaced the 6.
