vegging out male clone and pollen sacks are forming

Hi,

This is my first time vegging out male clones. My mickey kush male started producing pollen sacks all over when it got about a foot tall in veg.

Is this typical of males like females produce pistols?

Yep they're just Pre-flowers. Don't keep them around anything you don't want knocked up those sacs will open and spew plant jizz everywhere.

There is at least one open male flower that I see....

Now.... that doesnt mean it has dropped its load yet.....

You could be lucky .... that is the only open male flower....


but I wouldnt make that bet.....

One open male flower CAN produce more than enough pollen to knock up any ladies close by.
But I'll keep my fingers crossed hoping nothing dropped.
But you should spray all ladies you dont want knocked up nearby with water to neutralize any pollen that may have been released but if any pollen was released its too late by now.
But hey you got good strains so worst case scenario you got a bunch of beans to play with.

Its all good. Nothing flowering in that area. Only vegging Phew! Lesson learned.... I'm gonna isolate this feller and flower it one last time. Get me some jizzzz. Can't have it making a mess...lol

If you keep cutting off the pollen sacks it seems to help, and the plant grows right along. If there aren't many just pick em off. But for a lot just top the plant at every node that has pollen sacks.

early flowering in veg is an undesirable trait and the genetics should not be used.
