My brownies call for this instead of butter, thats ok as i dont have any butter anyway. Can I cook up the oil with some green before i add it?? I need 1/2 cup for my brownies. How much herb would i want to use?

i just made some brownies and used my cannabutter in the place of 1/2 cup oil. the first batch turned out really hard, so the next one i used an extra egg. then i used a little veggie oil mixed in with my cannabutter. they turned out really good there.

when I make brownies I use canna-oil...just like your lookin to do.

It works really good....I generally make mine w/ trim, and I use quite a bit....so I cant really give advice on how much "bud" to use.....just a guess I'd say 1/8th or more.

I strain the oil really good through paper paint strainers (several nested together)...surely a million other ways tho.

damn I'm gonna have to make some brownies this weekend YUM

they turned out great. I ate them all throughout the day and shared them with a friends. It has been over 24 hours sinice I ate them and i still feel a little high. I was so high i felt dizzy and could'nt move.

I cooked the green in the oil for a bit, then added it all to the batter and mixed and baked them. Turned out great

I live by this type of oil when cooking. I take fresh-dried non keefed trim. excuse the spelling, 1 large thing of oil, 1 piece of cheesecloth. I double boil the trim in a pot with the trim wrapped in the cheesecloth to prevent any matter from escaping. The longer the boil the better. I usually do it for at least 1 hour or more for extra potency. The next part sucks unless you come up with your own way to strain. Me and my buddies just squeeze it out by hand(yea it burns but you do absorb some oil through your pours.Re-bottle and put away till you need to cook. Works well with any receipe using oil. :sasmokin:

oh hell! use guys burnt all yer little grey matters! they make these things called stainless steal mesh strainers. cannabinoids volitize at like 357f so it is safe to assume 200-250f is safe to transfer the essentials w/o loosing your goods. plus the higher the heat the better the thc is absorbed into the oil. no need for double boiling just extra bullshit, totally unnecessary. no cheese cloth or ne cloth. i use between 1/2-1z trim per pan brownies. my trim is usually fresh( it will sizzle when you put it in the oil, no fear, this is just water in the leaves) but it doesnt matter. now, i found that THE TYPE OF OIL MATTERS!!! peanut oil is wicked absorbant hence it is the only oil i use. my brownies are much stronger when i use peanut oil( plus its gooder fer ya).
also, the hotter your oil the less time it takes to transfer the thc cutting that hour down to like 30 min tops. i get all my things before i start, 2 stainless strainers, 1 stainless mixing bowl, saucepan, trim, fat joint of hawaiian sativa and a good brownie mix( i like the caramel turtle). also, i use like 3/4 cup peanut oil when it calls for 1/2 cup due to it being absorbed into the leaf matter. i have a strainer that is real small that i scoop the trim out of the oil with and put into a strainer that fits into the stainless mixing bowl resting on the rim so i can let the oil drain over a few hours. this extra oil is bottled and added to the nexr batch etc etc. hope this helps keep you guys from burning those tender digits. hard to play nintendo that way lol j/k please im just messing with yall. i been cooking fckt up brownies forever so i feel like teasing a bit he he.
peace,
pwf

I think olive oil has a low flash point, and can go bad if heated to too high a temperature. It's also strong flavored stuff, might make the brownies taste a bit off

MCT oil (Medium Chain Triglyceride oil made from coconuts) It's burned like a carbohydrate and goes straight to the liver, no storage of this oil. Way better edibles with this stuff. You can get it at any health food store. Google mct oil, it it the BEST.

This is good. I have a couple of questions though: do you have to monitor the temperature while you're frying it in oil with some sort of thermometer? Does it matter if you "burn" the pot? How long will it keep for / special storage requirements? and what is the desired "ratio" for box brownies? Is it 1 oz (bad weed) or .5 oz (good weed)?

I'd really like to make brownies where 1 brownie is enough to get cha. Any help definitely appreciated.
