VEG vs FLOWER

If i veg for not the recommended amount of time and put the plants in flowering how badly does that stunt the growth of buds? say i started 1-2 weeks too early?

If i keep the flowering cycle for an extended period than normal will that supplement for the lack of vegging?

How much does the plant actually grow (not including buds) during flowering??

THANKS :yoinks:

Well, there are a number of factors involved here, but in general the earlier you put the plants into flower, the less yield you can expect, in other words "stunting" the buds. Maturity and root mass have a large effect on the size of your buds, and flowering for a longer amount of time isn't going to give you either of these. That being said, even short girls can be potent as hell, so its the quantity less than the quality of herb that suffers.

Again, strain dependent, you can expect most indicas to stay relatively short, while most sativas will double or even triple in size during flowering.

If you give us more info on your grow, I'm sure more people will chime in. : )

Extending the flowering cycle will result in loss of potency or worse, with seedplants its best to veg until you have alternating branches or preflowers or both
