veg time?

ok im really settin the bar high here, but im hopin 2 get 3 - 4 oz's from 1 plant but was wondering how long is a good veg time to get roughly this amount? would i get the same results any quicker using lst methods? i could grow the plants up to about 2 ft in height. i jus want enough 2 last me between my harvest. (although this is my first grow, so chances are i'l get feck all!)

and it would depend on the strain and a proper environment

my advise to u is to think small and learn how to grow first, im a newb too so im not expecting to much

and i would suggest u look into scrog

yea im thinkin im probably aimin very high, 2 b honest if i get any decent buds il be happy, but im jus aimin for best case scenario.
i should have mentioned i meant about 2 ft veg not 2ft in flower, im allowing for at least a doubling in size. overall i ahve about 4.5ft space in height between pots and lights.
ive looked at scrog but 2 b honest for a first grow i dont want 2 try it. id rather use lst

as i said, if i get any bud il be happy, ive got 2 plants jus started, so chances are within the next few weeks il be on here lookin for help wit many things! seems like a good place with some very good info! if i can get some pics of my babies il put them up!

hey you could easily get 3 or 4 ounces of a plant inside. It would have to be taller than 2 feet though. I usually get like 2 or 2.5 a plant but it all depends on your lighting and environment. What lights are you using? soil? hydro? co2? if you tell us what you have and what strains your running we could give you a good idea of what to expect>

right on duder best thing to do is read everything you can hear

2 ft is this including the container or the height with out the container???

there are many ways a grower can try to maxumize the yield, in my gallery you'll find tutorials on FIM and LST. ok FIM is a method where instead of a traditational toping of the plant you cut the main growth shoot but leave the bottom 10%. this method will force more growth shoots from everywhere . LST low stress training ideally is best to start when plants are young 2-3wks old 3rd to 4th set of leaves. both methods combined ive used lol few times and love the results i get, another method is super cropping brings upward growth of the branch to a crawl. and makes everything swell fatter . but like a mentioned read read and read some more o good starting point for you might be the micro grow section of the forums. there's alot of great ppl doing wonderful things in very small places heck i bet if you built a few of these you would be in canabis heaven lol http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=31605 Red has it going on brother heck yea

thx for the input guys, im usin a 400w hps light,with enough room for maybe 3 - 4 plants but id rather just grow 2 big ones. im growin a strain called belladonna from paradise seeds in soil/perlite mix usin biobizz organic fert.
im a bit skeptical of topping or cutting anything off my plants, being a beginner im a tad paranoid about doing damage, so i think il stick to LST for this 1.
thx for the advice maj pothead. i have definatly done a lot of readin in the months previous 2 growing, and im still reading alot, looking at other peoples grow diaries to watch out for possible things that can go wrong. seeing what some people like red can do in such a small space give me hope!


overall the cab is about 5.5 /6ft in height, 3ft wide and about 1 - 1.5 ft deep.
the pots are about 1ft deep.
clearly im a beginner but im here to learn! and im lovin the process of growin. the first nite i looked in and seen the first leaves i jus dreamt of weed !
any1 smoked belladonna? read a few reports on here about it, sounds like a good strain especially for its price! (£20 - 10 seeds)

If I were you bro I would go for 10 plant- sea of green and hope for five or sp females. Do a little tying but nothing major, just to open up the canapy a little, make sure to bend and place leaves for good lighting and you'll probably look around 5ounces at least for your first harvest and much higher after that... if you become more successful. Gorw them somwhat naturally with small tying down and get down the basics first.

Make sure you can be a benefit for a plant, before it can be a benefit for you. In other words make sure you can grow out a plant smoothly until the end with no nute burn or ph probs etc etc. Once you are good then go for maxing your yields. New people after try to maximize yields.. without even growing... its only the ones that stick around, and invest in it right that make it anywhere.

ps: It is tough to be efficiant and get 4 oz's from a 400 watt. I am not saying it is impossible but say you grow 3, thats 112 grams per plant... which is a total of 336 grams off a 400. That is almost a gram per watt which is pretty damn good.

try to get .5 per watt, then go for the one. on my first grow I got about .38 per watt but that was so long ago... now I pull about 1.75 ounces per plant (4-5 total depending) under a 250hps

/\/\/\/\/\/\ - very good idea. i would say to switch over to 12/12 after about 15-20 days of veg time, that way they shouldnt get to big, but still big enough.
