VEG TIME

I think I am vegging my plants too long (two from out of the clone maching)

I know the time will vary greatly in terms of what you are going for, strain, medium etc etc.

But i was wonder if people would post their schedules, just so I can get a idea of peoples set ups.

Any extra info (when you top etc., super crop, size of your plant before stretch)


For me it has been

1- 1/2 weeks in easy cloner

6-8 weeks on flood and drain tables. In net cups, with hydroton

I bend and or top after about 1-1/2 weeks on the tables, utiill I am happy with the shape

1- week in the CAP buckets to adjust to the buckets and lights in flower room.

plant size before stretch is between 1-2 1/2 feet

i will only veg normal stretchy strains for about 10 days after they come out of cloneing box they spend 7 days in rw cubes vegging, then 4 to 7 days of veg phase on the coco slabs, then flower. but with slow stretching indicas the veg time gets extended by another week or so. in the end it depends on your strain and your plant count set up.

sure that's a long time, but you only have two girls right?(two from out of the clone maching)????

I top when 4th set of leaves is up, ie so there a potential of about 4 shoots to take off.

I would like to know how much wattage and what kind of bulb you are running?

suggestion like put as many plants as you can to shorten your veg time. that way you have more main colas. still top all your girls. more girls for me equals more bud in my experience and shorter veg times.

I generally grow SOG'S. Clones are ready after about 3 weeks and then go straight into the ebb/flow table at 4 per sq/ft. They are then put straight on to 12/12, no veg time under the HPS. I put 36 clones into a 3x3 table. 6-8 weeks later 1g/w and no issues with stretch.
