Veg light when seeded

I may have limited space soon when growing out seedlings to select f2s that autoflower.
I was wondering: if a photo plant has already started producing seeds, can it be moved to a veg chamber or have the light schedule changed to veg(more than 12 hours light on) and still finish the seeds? I would imagine the flowering light schedule is only necessary to initiate flowering and continue development of flowers. But when flowers are already developed and seeds developing, what happens if the darkness period is decreased? Will the health of the seeds be diminished as the plant puts more energy into revegging?
I have grown autos and photos in separate boxes until now, but I might have to put a photo in with the autos. As autos are able to produce fully developed seeds with 24/0 light on, I would imagine a photo would also be able to produce viable seeds with less than 12 hours of daily darkness, but is there a minimum hours of darkness period?

Thanks for quick responses, guys.

Just hoped I could save time by letting the photo seeds finish under veg regimen, as I will have to grow out a big selection of f2s from a photo x auto cross. They need veg regimen to see which ones will auto.
But I will finish the photo seed run under 12/12 first then, before I run the other f2s.
Arid has kindly told me once before that there are no short cuts.. Gotcha.

Yes the seeds will form after being pollinated and put back in veg( not ideal) but if that's the only space you have then go ahead and make those seeds.

Thanks Ojd. Nice to have it confirmed. I will try to give the plants optimal light regimen, but good to know it can be done, although not ideal.

I did something similar recently. Pollinated some photos that we’re going to finish flowering after about a month of seed maturation. Put them under 24 hour light so that the plants could both reveg and also finish up seed maturation.
All plants reveged successfully. And I have harvested all the seeds and started some seedlings that are just fine. Seeds were completely normal looking and not light in color or weight.
