I am curious too and wondering if vaportek is still used and considered good(To work in conjunction with s scrubber)

In reading here it was all the rage backe 2 or 3 years ago but seems to have died out..

vaportek optimum 4000 is what i own. works great.. realistically the high output cartridges should be replaced every 75 days. I toggle my settings from 5-8 on average. The high output cartridges are around $70. Can get expensive but worth it, especially when you got a room/house full of drying bud and trim time. I recommend using a carbon filter on the grow and use the vaportek inside the home, on the outside of grow. Works great and like i said it's especially useful once drying/trimming.

You can just use the 4000 without a carbon filter on most strains but for added security i still recommend a carbon filter if you vent your grow outside. In a sealed room there would be no need for a carbon filter and the 4000 would take care of the smell perfectly.

I just change my 4000 cartridge every grow. I mean why not.. its a minimal expense that offers superior piece of mind.
I also run scrubbers so its really just for any vegetative smells or drying/trimming/curing processes.

I don't see the need to run it on 5.. I have always ran mine on 2 and never smell anything but the neutral cent when entering the "area".
Was it Res that made this things grow room popular? Pretty sure who ever it was..was running Vaportek only (no scrubber) with a larger op and never exceeded the 2 setting.

Putting it in a duct with anything more then a gentle flow would likely speed up its "drying up" cycle.

the process they used is fairly obvious, stood the cartridges up with the open end up then poured the ona liquid in let sit for a few hours then poured the remaining ona out replaced the cartage and done
yes the ona liquid is different from the oem "oils" but at $12 a bottle for the ona its worth a try especially if the replacement cartridges are not easily available

maybe i missing something but the hard cartridge holds the plastic pouches that look like there filled and then laminated or sealed with a machine. the hard case is just a fancy vessel to hold those plastic pouches.

If you get some mineral oil and drip it on the carttridge you can get another few weeks out of it. The main reason it stops working is that it is just dry. I have just wetted it with water while waiting for the new one to get delivered.

Thanks for the tip S a H... Just got mine, interested to see how it works. Does running it at a lower number reduce the potency of the Vaportek but also increase how long it will last?
