Vaporization odor, marketing myth or no?

I do not own a vaporizer but I am currently in the market for a new, well, something or other to smoke with as my GonG broke and its time for something new.

I am thinking of a vaporizer, and want to know if when they are saying that there is no odor when you exhale the vapor, is this true? Because if it is, then that is probably going to sell me on it..

If not, then a tripler is what I am buying next...

P.S. Please, if possible, say what type of vaporizer you are using as well.

There's certainly a smell from any vaporizer. While there is a hint marijuana smell it's not overpowering and not immediately noticeable. Because it's vapor the smell doesn't linger for long at all, it's only upon immediate exhalation that the smell of weed is present. If you're in a dorm or an apartment a vaporizer is a good choice if you're landlord/neighbors aren't cool. However if keeping your smoking discreet isn't your top priority a bong really is a better choice, in my opinion.

Myself I own a VaporBros and a Volcano. Don't waste your money on a volcano, while it's nice it's not worth the outrageous price.

I dunno, if you're into the whole bag idea I think it's Vapir??? that makes something similar for a fraction of the cost. $250 bucks is alot of money to throw down on something that I consider a novelty item. Vaporizing is fun, but it doesn't get you as high as a good bubbler or bong. Like I said if smell is a serious concern go for it, however I think in the long run some incense and a tube would be cheaper and much more appreciated. If you know someone who wants to sell one I highly suggest trying it out first, I don't mean to seem like a negative nancy or anything...

I have heard of vapir, won't try it due to the almost 100% negative reviews..I want a vaporizer because then I could medicate inside..

I will most likely end up with a tripler bubbler, or a GonG again..

I use a volcano, and you really don't smell much of anything. You'll smell it if you're inhaling the vapor, but there is no residual smell like smoking joints, or whatever.

i vaporize oil all day and go to work. no one at work can smell weed on me. but if you smoke pipes or joints you smell like smoke for a long time, from a few feet away.

Volcano is awesome for traveling. Keeps the hotel room from getting stinky. Smells much much less then smoking

I have a VaporDoc. I bought it specifically for safe smoking in my apartment. It’s my only smoking apparatus, and I love it. While there is still a very very faint smell, in my opinion it smells more like the buds themselves than the distinctive odor of smoked weed, and the smell doesn’t linger like it does with normal smoking.

I'd say it definatley smells like weed when you vape, but like other people said it doesn't smell for long and doen't linger.

And laxpunker, maybe its just me, but I know that a few good vap hits will rip me even better than say a bong or something like that.

Vapor is less pungent than smoke and doesn't linger as long. And it's oh so tasty.

what I've found using a volcano (bag design) and a silver surfer (whip design)..... is that one, nearly all herbs taste about the same after the second draw on the vape. just like fresh uncured buds, then you have the smell, the smell is often what the herb being vaped smells like. thing is, if you vape at a low enough temp then you will own be taking in and breathing out the vapor, wich does not linger in the air or stick to fabrics, it simply dissolves like an ultra fine spray of water. volcanos are nice but not worth the money when you can get somthing like a silver surfer or vapor bros and get the same quality vape for more than half the price.

smoke in a hotel room? ...it never stopped me!....put a damp towel under the main door of your room and then go to the bathroom, close the door and put a towel on the floor to block the smell ..fire it up and the bathroom exhaust fan will suck out the ganja smell..finish the jay then keep the bathroom door closed for an hour or so.

the best advice I ever recieved about smoking in hotels in Bangkok was to skin up, clean up and only then fire it up ....because a hard knock on the door of the piggy varierty when you are stoned and there's shit everywhere is hard to handle.....it's much better to be clean in case of intrusions....

I like the volcano...for the lack of odor, the taste is more obvious, and no tar!

I find a vaporizer eliminates the tar build up on the lungs...allowing more vapor to be absorbed into my brain...lol

The big seller for me...immediately after vaping...even someone in my face cannot smell anything on my breath...you can be high and socialize...with no smell on your clothing or breath...you can be more confident in goups of people...just don't act like an ass...lol

I have done this before, works like a charm. Last time I did it was on a business trip with my boss in the next room over, he never smelled a thing.

i use my vape religiously. my parents stop by now and then and can walk into a room i just vaped in. they smell nothing. however if you try to vape the same bud for too long it smells like burnt peanuts and popcorn
