I've vacuum sealed bud in jars before, it was very useful. You can't smell anything through them and it pretty much just puts them into stasis. You still have to burp the jars and whatnot like you regularly would, you can't just vacuum seal damp bud and expect it to stay ok. Generally the longer I have left bud in jars vacuum sealed, the better it's gotten.
I do it. Place completely dry and cured bud, 55%-60% rh, in a ziplock Baggie with a little air still in it and place that Baggie in the sealer bag and suck the air out. Just make sure as to not let the vacuum crush the bud together. Did that the first time and it was an ounce of bb. Ended up just being one huge mass of bud stuck together. Didn't like that at all
Now, I would suggest that every month or two to open the bags to let them breathe for a few minutes, but I don't know if that is really necessary.
tnx!
sneaky: good info.
