vaccuum sealerz

Duct tape, clear tape, any tape... will not create a strong seal to last a long bus ride. Why risk it? Vac sealing a Q will be a tiny lil package one can easily hide. I haven't read the TOS for Greyhound, but I imagine you give up your 4th amendment rights while using their service, just like TSA at airports etc, they can and will (if they want) search your items on their bus, both above and below. A taped up, multiple bagged potato chip bag screams I'm hiding something.

Meanwhile, take the Q that is vac sealed and not much larger than a deck of cards, wear 2 pair of underwear (tighties) and put the package right between them, against your package..... Safest spot it can be. You can get up, move, get off the bus, etc etc without fear of your potato chip bag getting torn, opened while you're in the can... etc.

I was being indignant because your suggestion will get someone arrested.

I’m not sure if you were speed reading on my first post or ..... I’m going to try this again, and I’ll type reeeeaaaally slow, and suggest your read it reeeeaalllly slowly.

I tried to softly correct your stmt that “….I've never heard, seen, etc anyone shipping MJ or other items….” by pulling up that story where Forbes magazine writer ordered 3 pkgs of MJ, drum roll here…..MJ and they all arrived in a metalized vapor bag. That should effectively correct your assertion and maybe give you a clue, that’s how the sellers (professional and amateur) are doing it on SR.

Whether the OP uses mylar film, potato chip bag, or other proven vapor barrier plastics, sealed however, pkg'd & sealed 2X and conceals that inside a half empty bag of real potato chips, and puts them in the overhead carrier – where he can deny ownership if there's a stop....., naw that won’t be as good as hiding his MJ next to his junk.

It would really be nice if you actually digested my post BEFORE attacking or condemning. But obviously, that’s not how you roll.

Please, ignore my posts in the future, as I will yours

Peace, love and happy toking

I use Food Saver. I'm fairly comfortable with buds/wax in a small container then sealed in the foodsaver. I've never double-sealed or triple, etc. But two or more layers are better I would think. Always put your medicine in an air/water tight, smell-proof container then seal it.

It's pretty safe, I just wouldn't take any amount above what police and a judge would believe was sincerely personal use stash.

To the OP, if you are as careful as you describe in your process, and are only trying to carry a personal stash, you should be just fine. Dogs aren't likely to smell it. By the way, I don't know if dogs are cross-trained but likely they are not marijuana trained but instead cocaine/meth/heroin/explosives trained.

from the collective wisdom of the former silk road and other sources as well

most plastics will permeate moisture or allow moisture to migrate thru it - if it will let moisture thru it, it will definitely allow vapors, ie scents etc

the best plastics have a metallized or foiled deposited surface, usually on the inside surface - an excellent source is quality potato chip bags as they want a plastic that is moisture proof to keep the chips fresh.

the vacuum bagging isn't going to do much good unless to shrink the size of the pastic down. use a potato chip bag, seal it real well with tape, bag a 2nd time in another chip bag but put some baking soda and sprinkle some tea inside the second bag as well before sealing, again with tape
then a 3rd bag for the "warm & fuzzy" factor

fwiw

The tape is the 'weak' link in that scenario. Use a lighter's heat on the chip bag opening to re-seal, a seal a meal would probably re-seal the chip bag, as well. jpt

i'm going to correct myself on what i said about vacuum bagging

that would create a negative pressure zone inside the bags, so would tend to keep scents inside - but the metallized foil surface plastic is still in the equation

Foodsavers work great. Leave a little air in the first bag, then vac it all the way for the second.
