V early preflowers? Landrace Thai

Hi everyone,

Growing 2 RSC Highland Thais' indoors. I suspect one is male, the other female. One is significantly taller with bigger fan leaves and thicker stem. I noticed the suspected male is stinking up my room already (4 weeks in!) and I've seen what appears to be pre flowers and balls...



I'm aware this is probably too early to tell isn't it? I suspect it's a male as this one was noticeably more lanky, vigorous, with bigger fan leaves and long internodes. Also started smelling early too.

4 weeks is pretty on par with sexing, and from the pics I'd say you are correct with one of each.

There's no harm either in waiting a few days or a week to be 100% certain on the male if you plan on chopping it.

I would leave them, sometimes they trick you a bit and what looks like a male turns into a female especially more common on tropical varieties, either wait or take cuttings and put them into flower to confirm.

I will give them more time. No signs of pistil yet
