Uzbekistan Black

Uzbekistan Black, I need help identifying it and finding it once more.

These seeds were passed on to me as Uzbekistan Black, bred by La Mano Negra(LMN). I was also passed another Uzbekistan line bred by La Mano Negra(LMN).

After some investigation, Ive been told that LMN only had one Uzbekistan line. The Uzbekistan Black line was said to be from someone else(Charlie). Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I lost the Uzbekistan Black plants to LEO this past summer. Finding more seed has proven almost impossible, especially since I can't say for sure who they came from originally.

There is a member here who has grown and preserved the Black Uzbekistan. However, that individual say they only know of one Uzbekistan line from LMN, that being the Black Uzbekistan. Seeing that I was gifted two different lines, one green and one black, I need more insight from someone in the know.

Any help would be much appreciated. This project is of the most crucial importance to me.

Hi charlie, thanks for the reply!

I'm not sure what to say about it. The seeds I had resembled exactly what another member here had grown. He knows the line only as Uzbekistan. I was gifted two lines. One Uzbekistan, and another Black Uzbekistan. Each labeled LMN. I guess Ill just have to grow out the other Uzbekistan line and see what they look like. Maybe they are one and the same.

I have a Kazakhstani Landrace strain I´ll be breeding when I get an indoor space runinng. Not much help to you, but they do seem to be fine fine genetic´s these more northern Indy´s as to the everywhere Afghani/kushes..

I hope you find something good in the other line you still have, and don´t forgeet to multiply the seeds.. They aren´t so easy to get hold of so, multilying thru open pollination, and then work on them is the way i would have taken, not bottlenecking it in the F1 already..

Congo Black, Senegal Black, Uzbekistan Black, Colombian Black, Nigerian Black... sounds to me like a simple gimmick hoping for a more appealing name that dealers and growers used in the past. Like when you add Black or Gold, any strain automatically becomes more legendary, especially if it's some sort of heirloom or rare strain. Landraces are usually named by location or its traditional local name, if known, as that's what makes them different from another.

LMN allegedly had one Uzbeki line or that's what they used to say actually. I just hope those weren't just like some other lines as his Blue Nepalese, that was so blue indeed that at the end we've found out the real lineage was Blueberry from Dutch Passion!

So don't believe the hype. We growers love stories though, shame those won't really add much to the buds we smoke, isn't it? ;)

Vibes.
