utterly pointless nano speaker box grow

Hi complete noob here but wanted to grow SOMETHING not concerned about how much this produces or if it even grows/flowers at all, simply doing it out of interest and fun so thought I'd share my ridiculous nano grow..

Using an old junky speaker box, height 22cm width 15cm length 15cm yes its that small.

I'm sing 1x 100w full spectrum led running at about 90w (out put fully adjustable), mounted on a composite aluminium/copper heat-sink

2x pc fans, intake 70mm out-take 90mm also both full adjustable, input power has heat regulator to shut off in case of high temperatures (fans failing etc)

Also have a perfectly sized active carbon filter taken from a gas mask, literally no odour comes out of this thing, but not installed yet and highly doubt it will even be needed but is perfect for the job.

no nutes just god ol worm castings, hoping it wont need any additional nutrients as it will be so small..

bag seed, day 15 so far 3 days 24/0 then switched to 12/12 is showing calyx but no pistils to confirm female yet.

good luck with the height, its gonna be a challenge, your definitely going to be tying that plant down like huff said, also if its a true 90 watts that's a crap ton for so little a space, a single 13w commercial LED light bulb is more than enough for references.

Also at only 15 days i'm not saying its not possible, but i don't think what your seeing are calyxs yet, probably the inter nodes, takes a good 3-5 weeks minimum usually before sex shows even 12/12 from seed.

Will be interesting to watch

That box looks pretty badass if nothing else. Has a sci-fi alien incubator look to it,like a nest an alien stowaway would build in the bowels of some starship.. or maybe i'm just high. or both.

Haha I thought 100w was overkill but these leds are pretty cheap and I already had the driver etc to power it.

Is too much light possible? I'm thinking it should be ok it can't burn it.. but if not I can reduce the output. This is what led I'm using.

Yes lots of tying down will be taking place should be interesting
And here's what I'm seeing regarding sex but I don't know..

yeah those are just the internode shoots with the two little feeler non leaves "can't remember what they're called", you still have probably a good couple weeks before you know the sex.

And yes you can have too much light but the blant will start light bleaching if that's the case but saying that is it actually consuming 90w, the specs say it could be but the lumen output is quite low at around 20lm/w, but mind you lumens is an odd thing to measure in specific color spectrums.

For reference a standard 13W LED bulb you would pick up at say homedepot, has a rated output of 1500lm which is 115lm/w almost 6 times the efficiency.

But like you said its for fun so run it and see what you get from it.

Ah thanks for clarifying! :biglaugh: and yes thats true it might not be but I'm running it at 30v 3amps which should be around 90w, I have used the same 100 wcob led but 3200k and it runs far hotter than this "full spectrum" led
