What is the latest you can use the neem oil on your flowering plants. I discovered spidermites in my flower room so I sprayed all the plants with neem oil/soap/ water solution..after doing so, I realized that my kushy fruit is just about ready for harvest,........Doh' ( the next plant up for harvest has at least 2 more weeks, ) I'm thinkin I can spray with plain water for the next few days ,but still need a few more applications of neem on the other plants.
thanks,

The neem i use say s it can be used up to the day of harvest for fruits and vegetables. I don't know if I would do that but I would think a couple days to dry out should be good. Also watch out for bud mold when spraying anything on a flowering plant. Make sure you have good ventilation or you may end up with a bigger problem than the mites. -Irie

neem shouldent be used anywhere near harvest or during flower, as im assuming your not talking about fruits an veggies. As for the neem drying out, well OIL doesnt dry out that fast. Them will be some nasty tastin buds............

EDIT: I cant imagine anything worse than mites. well mabey your grow/house burning down, although that will atleast take care of the mites.........

if your buds are sugar covered and super sticky do not ,do not use neem it will damage the trichs and make your weed taste like ass, id say depending on the strain i wont use neem after 15 days of 12/12 ,unless there are no trichs showing then have at em.

Take some off the most infested leaves ,and give whatevers left on the plant a good flick or rub with finger and thumb crushing the eggs, then do a a good shake,Not in the room but like garage or outside ,you could use water but after i messed up an atf plant 55 days in ,im leary on putting anything on them. good luck

I've had to do the same thing in the past, truly a bummer. The neem didn't kill the eggs so they kept coming back. Gotta keep spraying regularly. If at harvest I follow with SM90, a sweet smelling soap like solution. If harvest is still a few weeks off I follow with one of the "Stay Green" type products. This will suffocate the nits, or eggs or whatever their real names. I believe that it's the eggs that do most of the physioligical damage to the plant, the adult mites weave the webs, but the eggs do the damage to growth.
No matter what. ya gotta keep doin' it. I set up a high pressure fog machine, like aeroponics, filled with a neem based insecticide, that I set to automatically fill the room as often as needed
Keep it green

Thanks for chimin in and helpin my battle with the spidermites...I seem to get them about this time every year and neem does work preety well. I guess for the ones ready for harvest soon I'll just have to flush more than usual...and hope for the best...I did give them a good trimmin and got most of the bad leaves,

I have used neem oil to fight spidermites before and have chopped 3-5 days later and all was good. Trick is you have to spray/soak the plants with pure water to get off all left over neem day of or day before harvest.

But what is better for the ones closer to harvest is fox farms "don't bug me" I believe it is organic and can be used up to day of harvest I have also used this 3 days before harvest and follow same path of drenching plants with pure water right before harvest.

But in hind-hind site I would of just left the spidermites alone and chopped what ever had them. Chances are by the time you get the spidermites undercontrol you'll be ready to harvest.....better to give a little in yield and potency now then try and fight em only have to them infest the other plants.

With an infestation that has webs you have a good and establish bug issue going on and believe me when I say that the ONLY thing that got mine undercontrol after hundreds of $$$$$ being spent on preditor bugs, sprays, foggers, ext. Was to chop the worst of the plants, spray the plants in the room with alternating neem oil, then fox farms, then neem oil at least once every 3 days. By chopping the worst of them you save the rest, but I learned that one the hard way. This is my first summer grow in a long while, I had pretty given up on growing in the summer for just that reason every summer I would get some sort of bug, and I would spend my entire summer battleing them. Finially last summer I completely shut everyone down June threw August...since then figers crossed not a bug in site. I am hoping to make this summer bug free. If not I will completely shut down again.

Next year come first of June I am done for the summer. As now I will have to start my veg cycle later and throw off my whole winter grow...all because I just HAD to chance lady luck yet again.
