What's new

using butane in liquid state without it boiling?

wondering about butane properties and thought of doing it like iso but with butane in it's liquid state. So everything would be in a pressurized container. I don't like the way the butane boils... and thought of keeping it liquid. Also.. when it's below 0 is butane a vapour or liquid? because it only boils when it's hotter than that. But I think it's a vapour.. so you couldn't use butane like iso just by having it in the freezer. So to do this it'd have to be pressurized. Haven't tried butane yet.. just looking into it. And wondering about how to make it pressurized. Thought of a bike pump. But what type of container could you use.. It would be clear so you could see what's going on. Not too crazy about using glass and pressure. It would be kind of small maybe can hold 500ml. Any ideas?

I'm not sure if there is anything you could find to do that. Not see threw anyway. But you mind be able to find something out of steel.

Considering that you can ignite cooking oil with pressure [ diesel engine ] Im not sure how much pressure you need to give butane before it wants to combust. Im not sure I would want to find out either.

2L pop bottle ? :D

Not likely dude..

A member of OG built a closed BHO extraction system. I would give you a link but...you know :(. Anyway it was pretty complicated. And expensive...but it worked like a charm.

EDIT: You only need a closed system if you want to use big amounts of weed.

ok.. so nobody can figure anything out on here.
well lets have some scientific facts then.. so maybe I can figure something out. hang on let me have a hoot first.. =) and a bud lite going on the side.. =)

ok.. look at a white bic lighter.. that's kinda clear so you can see the fluid level. Allright.. now.. so that's liquid eh.. but it's like under how much pressure so it does that? how many psi in a lighter?

Also.. another question I'm wondering about is.. well they say butane boils at around 0degrees celcius.. kinda like how water freezes. But yeah.. this stuff is different cause at that temperature it so-calls boils.. and well.. I just realized I'm kinda getting into the whole scientific properties of butane.

Anyways.. I could go on from where I was going there.. but yeah.. I see liquid.. and was looking at a lighter.. and thought what I'm talking about is more like a bigger thing.. more like a beer bottle? would that burst under pressure that a lighter has? so you'd have the weed in the middle a coffee filter on either side.. liquid butane on one side.. and nothing on the other. Now when you tip it over.. it'd pass thru the weed like isopropyl and on the other side it'd be filtered.. so then you dump that out.

Now.. how do you get the pressure into that.. and all the filters and what-not. Well maybe the weed in a coffee filter? Put weed in the middle of a coffee filter and bunch it up. And put that teabag into the beer bottle or something?? fulla liquid butane?

Bike pump gives pressure.. you'd need a cap-end that'd screw on to the bottle.

C'mon you lazy stoners!! jeez.. lets figure out how to get rich legally!! ha..
nevermind the weed stuff.. I've got business ideas over on goldplatinum.net jeez.. lets get fucking rich and party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =) fuck yeah! c'mon.. lets join together and figure out how to get rich legally? ya know! like mellow out dudes.. =)

it should stay liquid if you use a closed system under vacuum, closed system should be closed to the air, under vacuum means you take a vacuum pump and suck the air out of your tube, etc. before drawing butane through
careful this could be very dangerous if you don't know what your doing
